Re: Thanks Guy and Sione

Both these players gave 100% every time they took the field and you can ask no more. Hope we get the chance to wish them fair well . :smt016 Absolutely agree on this. Many a player from many a club will leave without the herald or farewell they deserve. These two players especially have given everyt...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Hypothetically of course, believe that there would be many takers for Ben White - based on potential and the improvement shown in his game during the (curtailed) season thus far.
A long way to go however - but could be another Ellis in the making :smt023 .

Big losses! We would be in the Championship without Guy and George and Kalamafoni was our Chris Robshaw, our glue. Always a high tackle and carry count week in week out, super consistent! Good luck to both!
Can agree wholeheartedly with this ...

In principle sounds a great concept, but lots of obstacles to overcome before it see the light of day.Still as always money talks in the end.

Re: Tigers on TV today

This is getting too much like the regular season.......
Last week Ugo Moyne picks 'Quins beating Leicester , this week (5/4/20) we have Lawrence Dallaglio with Wasps beating Leicester in the Heineken Cup.
Just where are Ben Kay and Austin Healey when you need them ? :smt001

Re: Saracens - The Road to Ruin

Saracens got caught - twice over as it happens ; but I dont honestly believe that they are the only club playing with and 'adjusting' figures to suit their own purposes.Squad size , depth and quality pose many interesting questions in some places and there could be many an exec looking nervously ove...

'ifs' and 'buts' thank goodness.
Without a doubt though we should be forever grateful for Sarries being nailed and punished for their transgressions.Timely.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Could well be argued that we owe our place in the Premiership this season to Thompson - his performance at Falcons being that dominant .Will always hold the man in the highest regard for how he played the game and everything else he brought to the table.Wish him the very best of luck where ever he g...

Should we rule out Cole,Gatland likes playing him both sides
For all of Dan's still considerable ability - and I believe Eddie Jones served him poorly after the World Cup - this will be a LIons tour too far for him.

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021

Not blind, I've been watching him many years including when he was bullied by the SA bogeyman on the Lions tour. His tackle count is high ,although hardly dominant and his carrying is quite poor. Hardly remember him ever breaking the gainline although I will add that his offload game has come on le...

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021

AWJ is arguably the worlds most overrated player,in fact the love-in for him is sickening imo. And as for Gatland who are Wales missing most at the moment, him or Edwards? easy and blind criticism of the player , but the cap count tells a different story although 'overratted' does allow for individu...

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021

Gatland has done very little wrong as Lions coach - take a look at his record. Yeah , we can all carp and criticize but who ever you are (as a coach) you will pick those you know or think that you can rely on.Too many people with too many axes to grind and too many unprovable points to prove. The guy...

Re: Ealing threatening legal action

If I remember correctly, the RFU ruled that Saracens "WILL be relegated" and presumably, nothing that has happened subsequently will/can alter that. This is correct.Without diverging too much away from the topic Saracens relegation is a fait accompli. Presented with a backs to the wall choice of op...
