Re: Tigers v Quins (A) - Premiership - Friday 26th January 2024 - KO- 19:45

According to BT sports Collier is the best scrummaging tight head in the league! Is that when Cole and Heyes are away with England? I might be wrong, but I thought the comment was “arguably” the best, and I think it’s a reasonable argument to make. I’m a long way short of being a front row expert, ...

Re: Leicester Tigers Women 2023/24 - Vicky Macqueen in 'The Magnificent Fifteen'

First time I’ve watched the Women’s team this season - impressed with the 2nd half fight back when they could have folded.

Tahlia Brody was the outstanding performer for me; powerful and dynamic, good hands, still looking strong after an 80 minute shift!

Re: Wayne Barnes

I've said it for years, football refs don't help themselves And that statement there is why there is a problem. Absolutely - and deflecting the problem by taking about social media companies doesn’t help either. Personal responsibility is where it starts - and could end. I get there’s a difference ...

Nice one, Saints - that’s the weekend’s shock result out of the way. Back to the form book tomorrow 🤞

Re: Tigers v Newcastle Falcons (H) - Premiership - Sunday 3rd December 2023 - KO: 3-00pm

Bookies have Tigers at 1/25 to win Newcastle 14/1 to win Handicap betting, Tigers to win by 19 points I know the etiquette these days is to say “all games are tough and take nothing for granted, etc.” - but in reality Tigers should probably be disappointed if they only win by 19. A side with aspira...

Meanwhile, we in the glass half full club will be noting that denying Gloucester any points could help us 😉

Re: Tigers v Saracens (A) - Premiership - Saturday 4th November - KO:15-05

Sensible tactics from both camps. Tigers next two weekends are home against Quins and Saints. I guessing this forum would go into meltdown if we rested key players for either of those, so returners have to take a break this week - and the win at Bath means a loss is bearable. Sarries have two consec...

Bit of a worry, but we don't look very fit to me.
I’ll give it 1/10, because the new kit looks good!

Re: Champions Cup Final

Like others I too feel Leinster always get away with turning in at the scrum, playing the ball after going off their feet etc. LaRochelle have to take this ref out of the equation. Genuine question - this is clearly a view that many people hold, so if it’s true that officials consistently/persisten...

Re: Champions Cup Final

Puts our performance into perspective a bit I know there are plenty of folk who refuse to give Leinster credit for anything - but they are a simply wonderful team to watch. And I say that as someone whose second team is Munster! Agreed that they are playing very well, but I just cannot support a te...

Re: Champions Cup Final

The Jaco Peyper show again... :smt011 He refs with his ears not his eyes. He goes with whatever the crowd tell him. He is certainly not reffing the Leinster offisdes. True - although any team that’s done its homework will know that he always takes a laissez-faire approach to the breakdown. Leinster...
