Re: Wales 1st in the World?

Jimmy. Why was the try illegal? because when you sin bin a player you have to wait for him to leave the field before restarting play, Watson was still running off as the ball flew over his head, also England's medical personnel and water carriers were still on the field, which they shouldn't have b...

Re: Wales 1st in the World?

Wales taking players out past the ruck and off the ball, their props were hinging all game, and surely England should have been allowed to replace Heinz as a HIA before the game was restarted Compelling watch but if that is the best Wales has to offer against a half and half English team I know whic...

Re: Kiwi hypocrites strike again!

Any body who thinks the Haka is a side show should have seen the passion the All Blacks just put into it prior to the Aussie game.

Fred Tuilagi has joined Rugby colorno who play in Italy pro 12. Didn’t see that coming.
Contract wasn’t renewed not good enough for the premiership may as well play somewhere nice like Italy at championship level. Good luck to him

Re: Steve Booth

Such awful news. Got to know Steve while he was coaching at South Leicester and as all others have said, a genuinely nice guy larger than life character, who was always happy to help out where ever he could RIP condolences to all friends and family. It seems we have lost another ex professional spor...

Re: England WC squad

Of course be will be overplayed! We have 2 games in 5 days. Knowing he is an 80 minute player ill bet he plays the whole of one game then a big part of the other to keep Sinckler fresh. Then he will finish the other games,Sinckler like Furlong isn't an 80 minute player they tend to fall off the pac...

Re: England WC squad

To answer my own question there is 4 days between the Tongan and American games so Cole to start one and Sinclair the other then at least a week between matches. I have a feeling you may not see England’s strongest team until the 4th game in v France. Having seen the Pumas scrum be destroyed by the ...

Yes it is the shirts with the orange stripe we’re special ones done when South Leicester juniors toured Holland in 2003, and yes it is Dan being lifted in the line out he was a lot lighter in those days

Having just watched the full highlights on BBC 2, I was thoroughly impressed by Genge’s and Cowan-Dickie’s performances, nice to see some of the old Antony Watson too.
Agreed about Watson, those that were saying he would have lost some pace seem to have got it wrong. Same could be said for Joseph

Re: England WC squad

2 tight heads a risk, can only assume that Marler will move over if necessary. Don’t think Cole, Coles is the New Zealand hooker, will be over played as I don’t think he will start that many games, and not sure of the group game schedule but there is a reasonable amount of time between games, he’ll ...

Re: England v Wales

I reckon Eddie will be disappointed with Ellis giving away pens needlessly, again. His was one of the pens in the sequence that gifted Wales a try that brought them back into contention - and it wasn't the first or only one. Add to that a complete failure to tackle at one of the Welsh breaks in a m...

Re: Kiwi hypocrites strike again!

I have always thought that the oposition should just carry on with warm up drill etc and ignore the Haka, it has nothing to do with rugby and is just part of All Black brand recognition, AKA money! Suggest you google Haka and look at the history of it. If it’s part of All Black brand recognition wh...

Pita Gus Sowakula? That would be a good signing for us, primarily Number 8 but like most Fijians can play anywhere in the Back 5.
Not a bad shout jp14 photos certainly look similar

If it’s who I think he’s the one in the last bit of the clubs instagram feed standing next to Guy Thompson wearing the number 8 bib.
Looks to be a similar build to Thompson if not a little bigger, and definitely looks older than an academy player, with Fijian facial characteristics
