Re: Non-England World cup thread 2019

Brilliant performance by the Japanese, can they beat The Boks who knows.

Boks will pick the biggest pack they can with Pollard at 10 and try and blow them off the pitch

Look at what you can do with a quick 9!
You even manage to turn the best match of the whole tournament into a dig , it really is very boring.

What you and others fail to realise is that the other 14 players need to be on the same wave length too

Scotland are a far better side when Laidlaw isn’t at 9

Me too - lessons for Tigers( esp our 9 s ) as to what happens when you play with speed
And the other 14 to be in tune with it, it’s not just about the 9

Re: Non-England World cup thread 2019

Are Uruguay the new Argentina? How do we give these guys the chance to develop. We must get them more games against Tier1 nations. Completely agree Wales were poor and the score line flattered them. In saying that you invest more money in the Uruguay structure and they’ll start pushing even more. W...

Re: PRC Round 4 - Tigers vs Saints

I’ve seen pictures of Viljoen on the training paddock but not Taute.

Think we may well see Reid at 12 next week with Hardwick at 10 down to his superior goal kicking as much as anything else

Re: Is Boladau worth keeping long-term?

Back row resources already are Liebenberg, Taufua, Coghlan, Kalamafoni, Thompson, Reffel, plus a number of youngsters, is there room for him when those 6 are all here

It must be massively difficult to ref a game these days as a rookie, at that level, without the safety blanket of a TMO looking specifically for things like high tackles
TMO has arguably become important than the assistant refs in the professional game

Re: PRC Round 4 - Tigers vs Saints

Disappointing that we didn’t get the win, ref wasn’t good surprise surprise but at least we are scoring tries. Hope for a win against Worcester next weekend, they deserve a good pummelling. Interesting comment. The ref is an ex tiger, you wonder sometimes if there is an over compensation. Sir Ridle...

Re: PRC Round 4 - Tigers vs Saints

First few conversion kicks where very hard. An annoying loss. Subs won it for Saints. Defence started generally well, discipline in the line cost us the first try. Not sure in a normal game Tigers would push so many subs at once. Reid is a class act but his kicking is a bit shaky connection wise, w...

Re: PRC Round 4 - Tigers vs Saints

Only following the game on line and Reid seems to have had another decent go at 10, except he’s missed 3 out of 4 kicks, which at the time of posting is the difference.
Question for anyone at the game, were they difficult kicks, or is there an argument for playing Hardwick at 12
