Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

Personally I think this fantastic news.... with the proviso I'm not sure if I trust the board to choose the right buyers!! But really, it's what we need. People have been saying on here for a while that things are not right off the pitch resulting in a lack of accountability. Also that in terms of ...

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

Looks to me like the threat of relegation has scared someone. Also well timed given that I expect that most ticket renewals are done. It might be a very good thing and it might not be, into the unknown. For every Saracens there is a London Welsh. I do feel for the small shareholders though who's per...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Personally I think a few posters are overrating quite a few players and with it expectations to suit their drum banging. The likes of Kerr and Heyes are clearly down the order in terms of ability and have only showed limited potential so far. Heyes did alright with the U20's but it's a massive drop...

Re: England training squad

All these internationals playing for Tigers and we come 11th, is it the players fault or the coaches fault? If the likes of Shields and Schonert etc can get in then who cares! I mean there is also rumour about Marler being in contention for a World Cup place, the slowest LH because he can't play at...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2018-19

Rather have someone like LM instead of LH back again if we needed a IR for DD. Dream world it would be someone like ED or LS, shame that AM had that massive issue last year as he was my choice 8 if I could’ve picked one although not sure MF being here next season would help in signing him! A starti...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

So are you saying that with the squad that we had you would have predicted that we finished 11th ? If not by definition we under-achieved. Our first choice fifteen contains something like 10 internationals and no-one would have said we would finish where we did and if we had the rub of the green wi...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Many people criticised recruitment in recent years, the implication being that the players were not good enough. Thney then expected the coaches to win something with those players. There are now changes being made to the squad but some fans (many of whom complained that we sacked coaches) do not w...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Pot kettle and black regarding the blinkers. If I were preparing a team to face BY then the focus would be on the breakdown. BY likes more guards than Her Majesty which requires good structure to work, runs your forwards more, and leaves you shorter in ball carrying support. Any of these things sou...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

I expect Mele will help, if he is heard.

I don't think being England's most capped 9 is anything to crow about either given the recent World Cup's and occasional capitulation in big pressure matches.
It pretty much applies to all and not just the 9's in my opinion.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

I also believe that Ben Youngs has lost interest in playing for us. His whole game for us last season was sloppy and half hearted. That was there for all to see. If he can play well for England, then how come he is so awful when playing for us? There is only one conclusion to be made from that! Yes...

Re: 2019 World U20s

I thought the England U20's were really lucky to get a result against Italy who themselves wasted a bucket load of chances. I wouldn't pay in chocolate coins to watch these names and the way it is going the game will be totally full of them. With all of the successful development coaches now having...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

There is a lot to be learned from a player like AWJ. He is far from being the most talented player that you'll ever see but neither was Johnson and it's said that he was a great leader and presence to have. Could be the kind of presence and attitude that has been missing since the undermining of Co...
