Re: New Kit

Hopefully our kit is better than the Wasps kit! https://www.waspsshop.co.uk/kit/home-kit/ The huge Vodafone logo clashes nicely doesn't it. If you changed the yellow decals on the sleeves to red it would pass for a Sarries shirt. That logo is some target, best get chest pads for their players, 60GG...

Re: Steve Booth

This is extremely saddening.
Condolences to his family.
I recall taking my lad to a derby match that South were playing in around 2010 when Steve was coaching and my lad loving the chat from the sideline.

Re: England WC squad

Personal opinion but for me Lozowski is the better utility option. Lozowski is familiar with Farrell's game and vice versa and is that good that he can play just about anywhere inside or outside, he destroyed Leicester last season. I've never seen him have a bad game, his defence is rock solid and ...

Re: England WC squad

Francis is a better player than what people have credited him for? And who would have replaced him if Te’o hadn’t had a scrap? Cipriani, a player who no longer has the legs to cover fullback so is just a flyhalf. Piers’ flexibility is a crucial aspect of this squad as it allows Jones to rotate seve...

Re: World Cup players

We have 5 players in the England squad and various players in other countries squads, this begs the question of why we were so poor last season. Is it the players fault and they are not trying or is it the coaches fault because they are not good enoug. For me it's because the coaches are not good e...

Re: England WC squad

I think it's a good squad but unfortunately certain things haven't been done well. Nothing that wrong with a centre like Francis apart from the fact that Eddie has wasted 16 caps on Te'o and the idea that he wants to play with more size in that area and has now binned him. Crucial experience and wor...

Re: New Kit

I agree with BFG on the whole, it sounds good one kit to last two years, unfortunately with so many sponsors on the garment it would not always be easy to contract them all for the same two years. Even if we did a home kit every year with say the away kit which gets less usage every two years, it s...

Re: New Kit

With a smaller market it'd surely make sense to alternate the introduction of new kits once every couple of years. Hmm, now where have I seen this before? With Cotton Traders many moons ago? I think that they are killing the goose that lays the "golden" egg. With one new shirt per season, many peop...

A home kit lasting for two seasons which alternates with a new away kit the following year. This way they aren't springing two brand new kits on supporters at once. You one off produce ...

Re: England v Wales

I thought the Leicester starters did alright and the scrum in particular made a real difference. England were left floundering a bit in defence for the Davies try. Cockanasiga got stood up in defence once again closing off the invisible man. I've no idea what any of it means though as likely others ...

Re: Wade makes an impact on 1st game

I imagine that May wearing one of those helmets would be like trying to balance a lollipop up on its stick! Now Thorley is a different matter, he might be a useful returner or receiver. Tom Croft, what a receiver he could've been in the NFL. I can't believe that Wade isn't playing for England and re...

Re: Ford in The Mail today

Cagey, I can’t agree with your management style, but don’t want to have a debate here. My point is that the problems should not have been allowed to develop. What were Murphy and the playing committee doing? Apparently very little! I suspect without any power to act simply waiting for this moment! ...

Re: Kiwi hypocrites strike again!

The only issue I have with the Haka is that opposition are expected to watch it. Just my personal opinion. Sure perform a Haka and if that's what you want to do before the match then that's just fine by me but do it in your own time. It would be absolutely no part of my match build up. What is the p...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2018-19

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/49006456 Harry Thacker one of 7 players to sign extensions with Bristol. 3 years in Harry's case. I still hope to see him back at Tigers one day. Of all the players we have let go, he is one of 3 or 4 that rankle with me over the last decade or so. A supremel...
