Re: Sean Edwards

Yes please Edwards, I love the idea of some bald bloke dishing it out at Oval Park!
That'd definitely give some of them a need for further phycological evaluation from Mr Jones quack!

Re: The Six Nations 2019

I've just enjoyed watching our Women win their GS, Ok it was very one sided today but England sure do have some exciting women players, including our own brilliant Emily. :smt045 :smt038 :smt038 It was so one sided that I got bored with it and stopped watching. There was a massive difference in fit...

Re: The Six Nations 2019

Both these views are debatable, of course, but imho... #1. 10 is the most important position on the field so you must play your best flyhalf there irrespective of axes or centres or 'strategies' or whatever. #2. Ford is England's best flyhalf. Er...that's it! Cipriani is undoubtedly England's best ...

Re: The Six Nations 2019

Have no idea what the backline lineup for England will be now for the World Cup. As good as Daly is, he isn’t a fullback so maybe the perfect no.23 player as he can cover multiple positions. Watson or Brown to play 15. Do we also revert back to the Ford/Farrell axis or stick to the centres in the S...

Re: The Six Nations 2019

Ben Youngs and Owen Farrell both to blame for the slip, I also think Vunipola is :censored at the moment, going into contact very slow and his knock-on from Genge’s offload was very sloppy. Jones needs to bring someone in who can challenge him, i.e. Ben Morgan, as Hughes has shown he can’t. I don't...

Re: ARE THERE ANY LAWS IN THE GAME THAT YOU WOULD CHANGE?

I would change the laws on kit.
All players should wear Forrest Gump type leg braces thus enabling them to stay upright.
Rucks, scrums, jumping five feet in the air etc all sorted!

Re: New Coach?

I think MOC lacked belief in large parts of the current set up, just my opinion going on the body language. He had no problem with bringing on the likes of Harrison and Tuilagi during his first spell with Leicester, if the quality was apparent then he gave youth the opportunity. (1) I can still rem...

Re: New Coach?

I'm not sure that Youngs and Bateman were great scrummagers before he arrived. It has taken Bateman some time to convert to prop - although I think he would have made a great hooker if he'd been given the opportunity. Tigers needed a prop and he was up against Youngs. He could have been a hooker in...

Re: New Coach?

The players have repeatedly stated they are fed up with the coaches merry go round so I imagine Murphy will be here to stay. Not a bad thing as the current problems aren’t his fault and he seems to have a long term vision to turn things around. No quick or easy fix. The other coaches I’m not so sur...

Re: New Coach?

With regards to MightyMouse's post, MOC was IMO the issue over non-development. He stated he was first-team coach (i.e. not Development), to my memory avoided playing youngsters, and at Leinster was known as 'Black Door' after a local hostelry that shut the door on young people. I agree JG. Our big...

Marcus Smith in England's training squad.
I hope that he can cope with Cockanasiga better than he did with Banahan yesterday! :smt005

Re: Breaks in 6 Nations

They should revert back to the five nations and get it over with in four consecutive weeks in my opinion. Shouldn't that be within BFG? I'm old what's your excuse? :smt052 I knew you'd get me eventually and it didn't take you long, bravo, all is not lost in LE18 despite what they say! :smt038

Re: Breaks in 6 Nations

They should revert back to the five nations and get it over with in four consecutive weeks in my opinion. I made the point to SC the other day that my needs were simple. I just wanted to see great players at Welford Road as often as possible - playing live not on the telly - and I wanted player wel...
