Re: Tigers v Racing 92

That performance gave us something to cheer, possibly the loadest and best for sometime! I was a bit surprised at the difference between Notts match and this one, can't lay my finger on it, were Racing not so good or had most of our earlier faults been resolved in the last week and team selection w...

Re: Tigers v Racing 92

Different subject but I thought O'Connor was immense today, others getting the plaudits but he put in a shift and a half.......again. I agree, he was immense. Pundit Arena have him at 7 for this weekends Lions picks, he is qualifed.... To that end, is there a chance of a wildcard for Eddie given Ma...

Re: Tigers v Racing 92

I thought a solid scrum and excellent lineout were key today. To a man the set piece was excellent and also good to see Mulipola back properly and seeing what he can do alongside a proper hooker, even McGuigan made a small but what could prove important contribution near the end to keep Racing from ...

Re: Tigers v Glasgow

Sarries defence is very simple in that they blitz and try and push attackers back over the game line halting any momentum, Jack Nowell said before their game aginst Sarries they thought if you can get past 8 phases they blitz becomes to tiring and holes appear. Those saying that its more of a playe...

Re: Player abuse by fans!

The guy throwing the ticket has lost all perspective on life. I don't suppose he was at Ravenhill in January 2012. We were that bad that night , and it was minus something as well, that me and my pals managed to get a taxi back to Belfast Town Centre and get in a bar that was showing the game with ...

Re: Does Cockers get the boot if we get smashed again this w

Good, clear answer. No doubt you have made yourself a target for further dispute! Also like to add that some players are asking for wages far beyond Tigers inclination or ability to pay. I do know from a chance meeting in Cardiff that the cousins Vunipola/Faletau (their agents more likely) were pla...

Re: Does Cockers get the boot if we get smashed again this w

surely the other question is "what happens if we stuff racing on Sunday?" I think I know - the anti cockers trolls fall silent - until the next defeat..... From my inside knowledge, the players have been very upfront with their failings on the pitch - especially the basic errors. They are...

Re: Tigers v Racing 92

I fancy Leicester will win this match. The odds on a French side being as poor at travelling away as Leicester were last Friday are strong and Racing don't seem to be feared at shutting sides out as much as they were last season. Not that it'll matter much in the end as neither will win the competit...

Re: PLastic pitches and Tigers dont mix.....

I was reading Jamie Vardys book and he mentions a trial match at Crewe he played in during his non league days. Anyway it was on one these plastic pitches and he says it really blunted his natural speed and totally didn't suit him. Had it not been for our dismal performances on them I'd have though...

Re: Does Cockers get the boot if we get smashed again this w

Oh. You actually are. I'm done. I was asked to give some names of coaches with a good track record that are available immediately. I did that. There are also plenty of coaches that may consider leaving their current position if asked. The relative merits of any new DoR is of course open to discussi...

Re: PLastic pitches and Tigers dont mix.....

Saracens don't seem to suffer injuries more than anyone else and they don't seem to suffer from any playing differences between real grass and plastic, they play pretty good on both. All in the mind in my opinion, and a great excuse to blurt out when one is needed, after all didn't Leicester win rec...

Re: Tait...not good enough

I have been labouring that point for at least the last 18 months, unless a back player is exceptionally talented, once past the age of 30 they begin to lose speed and edge. In a central position it is that ability to straighten out play and gain huge amounts of ground that is vital to a winning tea...

Re: Tigers v Glasgow

As soon as you hear the term ‘anticipation’ and ‘play what’s in front of you’ being bandied about, you’re in trouble. For one, not all players are as quick to analyse or respond to a situation and this will inevitably leave gaps in understanding and, thus, defence. For example, there’s no point in ...
