Re: Is Boladau worth keeping long-term?

Boladau has a touch of class.
If his strength and conditioning is peak he'd be a good addition.
Boladau isn't too old.
Guy Thompson is 32 and has more all round then any youngster.
Class is class.

Very good reffing,just a yellow
Weren't too shabby was it.
It is a shame though that Sir is far more strict on Samoa slowing down off feet at the ruck then he is for the Irish.

Re: Typhoon on it’s way

If you have an issue with this you have never witnessed a bad one. You can have contingency plans for Typhoon season but not for a storm that is looking like the biggest since 1958. It’s not just about when it hits, it’s the aftermath. It’s about dealing with fatalities, injuries, extensive damage ...

Re: Typhoon on it’s way

And of course there were no international fixtures that are always played in the Southern Hemisphere in our summer months, which were actually less than normal this year. Come on BFG I’m sure you’re really an intelligent man, take off your blinkers and look at the bigger picture. It’s unfortunate b...

Re: Typhoon on it’s way

Yet again you miss the point, they were prepared for typhoons just not one of never before magnitude. But then again why let the facts get in the way, and to answer your other point, it is always played at this time of year to fit in with the world rugby calendar Mark I think the Prem final was on ...

Re: Typhoon on it’s way

Plan what? The rules? It’s nothing to do with Japan not being able to move matches, it’s a World Rugby rule. They could have had 100 years to plan it but it will still be irrelevant as there’s a rule in place. It’s funny how I’ve not seen one single comment anywhere from the day it was announced th...

Re: Typhoon on it’s way

It’s because the World Rugby rules state that if a pool game is not started then the match is cancelled and a result of 0-0 is given. Japan would be able to move the games but World Rugby rules don’t allow it. They've only had ten years to plan it! :emb: Plan what? The rules? It’s nothing to do wit...

Re: Typhoon on it’s way

One match less to play for those cancelled makes a mockery of the entire tournament. Thousands of fans probably spent years saving thousands of pounds to attend. Never made much sense holding it there at this time. Their global season will eventually come about one way or another. So you feel that ...

Re: Canada Embarrassing?

If England and Ireland played Spain and Romania on a regular basis the tier one teams would insist on getting tier one money with crumbs left over for the opposition. There is more chance of 6 Nations countries paying NOT to have to play such matches as they would be financially much better off pla...

Re: Canada Embarrassing?

The occasional mismatch of England v Spain in a rare random draw is one thing but to promote it as a regular occurence would be dreadful. People complain about the lack of competition from Italy. I think Russia and Georgia have yet to beat an Emerging Italy, never mind Saxons or Wolfhounds, let alo...

Re: Canada Embarrassing?

Another joke of a match this morning.
64 minutes and the Scots are winning 47-0.
What a complete waste of time.
The Scots can even afford a shocker of a forward pass which the so called best ref completely missed and had to rescued by the TMO.

Re: PRC Round 3 - Bath vs Tigers

While it might be deemed unsporting to ruin a good argument with facts, the laws do state clearly that a player must be brought to ground AND held in order for a tackle to have taken place. Thus, a player 'ankle tapped' or in any way otherwise brought to ground who is not ALSO being held, is not ta...
