Re: Rugby Paper article

I don't see what Kay brings other than being in a position to dish any dirt he chooses on the telly.

Odogwu to Wasps it seems.
He could be a good fit for Wasps who are one of the most dangerous sides off early phases that there are with the pace they put into their attack.
He will need to train very hard though to get the accuracy required to play at that pace.

Re: Tigers vs Bath

I don't think I've seen a game this season where the officials haven't had an impact on the result. Be it a try that common sense says was or wasn't or something else that seems so simple at the time but really isn't. What really is putting me off are the penalty turnovers given with the jackalling ...

Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.

The Leicester props arnt as strong? Of course they are! If you look at Afoa,he's the lowest scrummaging TH I've ever seen,it's not his strength thats ever had LH in trouble, like with Alex Corbisiero on the other side it was his incredible body angle. And that's what suits Thacker,Genge and Cole are...

Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.

I am amazed by BFG's about turn, he spent years complaing that Harry Thackers lack of size was a liability, eventually MOC agreed with him and signed Taf Polata-nau as back up hooker. McGuigan was injured for most of that season so was out of the reckoning. MOC told Harry he was not big enough, Har...

Mahoney did struggle with concussion though BFG.
As do a lot of players which is an even stronger case for a good rotation policy, horses for courses in particular which Leicester do seem to have a big problem adapting to with their automatic starter policy.

Lewis Moody in The Mail sums it up well. https://newsdesk.moreover.com/click/?p=Q1QzL2E9MzkyNTA4NDUwMjcmcD0xNGUmdj0xJng9T0hBOHJ4OGlQbFp4RldNV0ljR2h2dyZ1MT1ORCZ1Mj1nMTEwOA&a=39250845027&f=TmV3cw&s=ZXhwb3J0&u=SWFpbi5IZXBidXJuQGJiYy5jby51aw&cn=QkJDIE5FV1MgT05MSU5F&ci=334&i=283&si=31004&fmi=169658564&e...

It's about backing the right talent.
Saracens let many young players go every year.

Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.

The team are playing badly - the wedding didn't affect that But that is the debate.... it's not personal against the couple getting married just as it's not personal about the players. Somebody wants to pay a few grand to get married on the pitch at half term, kerching. What next? I know let's have...

Re: London Irish: an immorality tale?

Out of order? You may think so in your sheltered suburban set but you are certainly not of the contemporary world. The kind of high jinks I am referring to, definitely still goes on and much closer to home than you think. The fact that the lads don't broadcast it may be fooling you but I can assure...

Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.

Commercial activities aren't the reason why the team isn't doing well. It's a contributory factor. As Chutes said on the podcast it used to be that the people in the ticket office wanted to be the best rugby ticket office in the country. Also all the commercial revenue goes to the playing side. So ...

Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.

If Leicester were on top of the league I think the half time wedding might've gone down a bit more positively. Commercial activities aren't the reason why the team isn't doing well. The bottom line for me is that one wedding event could possibly pay to retain one or more potential young players and ...

Re: London Irish: an immorality tale?

The bottom line is, how well does he play rugby? Not a week goes by when someone on here is pleading for the club to sign some hard nut enforcers. Something I agree with but they will certainly not be choirboys or youth club leaders. They will also play hard off the field. Yes, I have toured with s...

Re: Toomua gone

Sadly Toomua was employed as part of a flawed tactic of two playmakers at 10 and 12 in a league where the defensive rush is king, which also has a tendency to often run the legs off the entire forward pack as the damn ball could end up anywhere at anytime. The new way (well quite old now (Hipkiss/O....
