Re: Murphy coaches and relegation
It has been commented on in a few match threads that at half time the Tiger’s team seem to be switched off and the coaches wandering about rather than focussed and getting sections of players together to analyse and enthuse. Is there really no positive coaching and leadership going on at half time o...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal
Hi, The comment about Wolfpack lager is an interesting one. I would have thought Gloucester could have been inspired to make their own as breweries will Brand something for a pub etc of have one from a sponsor (why Tigers have poor beer). I do wonder about buying from Toolstation vs Screwfix as I do...

Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.
Worcester scrum penalty was the deciding moment of their game too. I agree we need a mobile pack who can compete at the breakdown but we need to avoid giving penalties away as scrum time as a minimum.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7
I suppose it may help his chance of World Cup selection to be seen playing on home soil. Some form of media statement thanking club and fans would have been nice. Not the best result from what I am sure he hoped would be a much better period here.

Re: Weekend match thread
Sarries seem to have improved international players who have arrived too. Liam Williams turnover was brilliant. Tigers seem to leave that to the back row only. Our whole squad need to realise all players on the pitch need to have fast decision making at the breakdown. We rarely compete enough. Betha...

and then he goes to the wrong side of the ruck. Our locks have been rubbish for too long. What should be a power house are powder puffs. Wells is a bit better but not convinced about Spencer from a handling point of view either. Not in our hands anymore this weekend!

Re: Ampthill anyone?
I think a play off with the bottom Prem playing the top championship team home and away, rather than neutral ground would be the best option. That may stop the yoyo of teams up and straight down too.

Re: Guy Thompson
It shows we need to recruit to players to fit the team rather than change the team to fit the players or coaches. Many fans would be happy to see that fight and spirit and be on the wrong end of a few scores than see heads go down. How many games were won in the last 10 mins in the past and this sea...

Re: Genge in the Telegraph
Plenty if name checks for Simon Cohen but no mention of Ged Glynn. Freddie says rugby has changed but Tigers seem to have been involved in the 2 biggest swaps. Betham, Petersen and McCathrey all discarded too. Who is leaking to JP Petersen? Team cohesion seeems to be the cornerstone of team performa...

Re: Tigers v Wasps
I agree Joe Ford stepped up well. He took responsibility and deserves great credit. Eastmond played well in attack and got some good tackles in when in the defensive line. However, if you look at him jogging along in the background during the Wasps second try you can appreciate he is not putting in ...

Re: Autumn Internationals
My god - watch the replay - draw a line from the end of the ruck (BFG -following Italy’s interpretation of the ruck vs England a couple of seasons ago I think World Rugby would call it a ruck) Lawes was offside and then the ruck moved forward a foot or two and Lawes was even more in front of the en...

I think there was an ex-platers dinner according to Steve Johnson during Radio Leicester commentary. I presume Tom Varndell may have been at the dinner?

Re: Dismissal of England coaches
It would appear that loyalty is a redundant concept at the RFU. Sometimes things do need a refresh but the information so far does suggest that the two encumbants were sacked to allow Jim to get the role as he was available and perceived to be better, rather than poor performance. Two for one sugges...

Re: Sarries v Wasps
Yes it was very odd. On the replay I would have expected the corner flag pole to move as the ball hit the line if it had been simultaneous, as the TMO suggested, but to me it did not even twitch. Not sure if it would gave made much difference as the momentum did shift to Wasps soon afterward and Sar...

Re: Tigers v Glaws
I though Holmes had a good game and was cery solid in defence. At one stage he defended a 3:1 overlap for them. Although there was cover, it was impressive. Pakalani seemed to ship the ball on or look indecisive most of the time but he ran perfectly at the inside shoulder and off loaded for Thompsto...
