Re: Cockers

Until we get to the point where Sapajo’s statement is factually wrong because we get a system that is working better these facts speak for themselves. Cockers worse place is better than we have been in since. Most of us do not know what goes on day to day in the club and only judge from the scores i...

Re: Captaincy

Taufua seems to be a leader and is an unknown quantity to the refs. If he can keep a polite tone I think he could be a good interim captain if TY is away. If it goes well then he could keep the match day role. Someone from the back row if often near the action and communicating with the ref regardin...

Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 15th Feb

Worth comparing to Coby’s Reinach here: https://mobile.twitter.com/btsportrugby/status/1220824730980245516?lang=en More obviously a pull back and down over the shoulder, but not dangerous either. Looking at White his tackle actually starts below and Kibirigie falls below his hands so his hand does n...

Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 15th Feb

From laws perspective the line of the shoulder is a line along the top of the shoulder so a hand on the shoulder is over that line and high on this context. The similar tackle a couple of weeks ago was high by this law too but the ref clearly decided that it was not dangerous in both cases. it may b...

Re: Bath vs. Tigers - Sat 25 Jan 15:00

No autumn international and 6N in a mid-season break where there is a development competition with strict criteria based on who played on the early season first team games? I know the RFU make loads of money out of the autumn internationals but the money is not going into Twickenham and not to grass...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

It does make you wonder. What is posted at companies house is the official declared top level version. A forensic accountant would crawl over the books at individual payment and receipt level and may need to so that with player and owner /connected person accounts too, as they are part of the salary...

Re: European Weekend

Exeter blocking and slightly holding in to defenders, rather than knocking them over, like Tigers did, was one of the differences which won them the game at Welford Road. It is good to see it being penalised as cheating, which this gamesmanship is. I would have any contact with defenders in front of...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

If would be helpful if PR published the report in full and then were more open. Nothing will be confirmed until a statement is made and any opportunity for appeal completed. If Tigers change team selection and then an appeal allows them back in we would go down. Most of thus is 1+1=3 with current in...

Re: Tom Youngs - lineouts

If the lineout is actually straight then without knowing the call that was being run it is difficult to know where the fault lies. The coaches should know what the call has been and then analyse who did what compared to what the call was. I have coached colts and we got the club first team in to go ...

Aren’t they the type of experienced but independent board members a new owner would want to stay, whilst those associated with current ownership would step down after the sale?

Re: Murphy coaches and relegation

It has been commented on in a few match threads that at half time the Tiger’s team seem to be switched off and the coaches wandering about rather than focussed and getting sections of players together to analyse and enthuse. Is there really no positive coaching and leadership going on at half time o...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Hi, The comment about Wolfpack lager is an interesting one. I would have thought Gloucester could have been inspired to make their own as breweries will Brand something for a pub etc of have one from a sponsor (why Tigers have poor beer). I do wonder about buying from Toolstation vs Screwfix as I do...

Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.

Worcester scrum penalty was the deciding moment of their game too. I agree we need a mobile pack who can compete at the breakdown but we need to avoid giving penalties away as scrum time as a minimum.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

I suppose it may help his chance of World Cup selection to be seen playing on home soil. Some form of media statement thanking club and fans would have been nice. Not the best result from what I am sure he hoped would be a much better period here.
