Re: Respect for opponents - only in Rugby!

I must admit this doesn't surprise me. I've always found the Munster supporters to be humble in victory and gracious in defeat. They will give you some stick for 80 minutes but, before and after the match, there's none to compare with them for their friendliness and hospitality. They are and always ...

I'm praying for a Munster v Leinster European Cup final. I'll be in Galway on the day of the final and lunching in Dolan's in Limerick the day after, i.e. my birthday. :smt030

Re: Marcos retires

I know the term is used far too often these days but it is perfectly applicable here.

The man is a legend.

Re: Clash at HQ for 5 years

Given the chance I would ban: 1. All fireworks and flame throwers with the exception of fireworks after games in early November 2. All PA announcements during the game, other than to confirm scores and scorers after a score has been made 3. Any music being played over the PA after scores or at any ...

I've friends who live in Bull Creek, Perth. Admittedly, they're rabid Freo Dockers supporters but they reckon the Western Force never really took off and rugby union is a very poor cousin in WA.

Re: Clash at HQ for 5 years

I'd heard Bath are planning to have one home match at Twickenham for this and the next four seasons. However, I don't think it's been confirmed it will always the match against Leicester.

Re: Jokes revived

Imagine the scene … a market place in ancient Rome. A faith healer has set up his stall with a large screen behind it. He cries, “Come forth all you who wish to be healed.” A man on crutches makes his way forward. “What is your name and what is wrong with you?” asked the faith healer. “Norman and I ...

After all the strife, well played Stade Français

Congratulations to Stade Français. :smt026 :smt026 :smt026 Even with Josaia Raisuqe being sent off after 52 minutes, the men in pink came away from Cardiff with a great victory. I'm sure Ze Stade Fan is waking up in Paris this morning with a big smile on his face. Personally, I wouldn't fancy Bath's...

Re: Jiffys lost his voice

Why do the so-called experts insist on talking over the referee when he's consulting with his TJs and TMO? We want to hear what they're discussing but there always some idiot, usually Nick Mullins, who thinks we'd rather hear his twopennyworth. Getting back on topic, it was a joy when Jiffy's voice ...

Re: Toby Flood red carded - not happy!!

IMO he knew what he was doing. Agreed. Flood had already been given a yellow card after 24 minutes. However, this was a straight red offence and rightly so. The Brive 20 (Pejoine I think) was hit by Flood's knees within a second of him going to ground which prevented him from starting to roll away....

Re: Racing 92 & Stade Francais to merge

I have been in contact with Rémi aka Ze Stade Fan and he and his fellow SF supporters are obviously distraught. Here is a copy of the email I received from him yesterday as he has given me permission to pass it on to you. We learned through the press that Stade Français and Racing 92 are going to me...
