Re: Wasps (A) - Sunday 9th January 2022 - 3pm

We know a loss has been coming, I can only congratulate Wasps for ending our run, I'm sure their squad and fans will celebrate hard, which reflects how far Tigers have come under Borthwick. Wasps the better team from the 50th. As already mentioned, not enough composure and creativity going forward l...

Re: Progress under Borthwick 2021/22

Only two game in I know, but this is the point in the season where in recent seasons we have put most palms to face, be it missed passes, tackles, lineouts. Can't fault the effort of the Tigers right now, even if we had lost the past two games, a massive effort in comparison to past three or four se...

Re: Kevin Sinfield

It's been mentioned on this forum before BUT, Amazon Prime host a documentary called "Watch As Good As It Gets?" which focuses on the dominance of Leeds Rhinos in Rugby League. Kevin was a real hero of this period and features prominently in interviews. You get a good insight into the inte...

Re: Tigers @ Gloucester - Friday 24th September 2021 - 1945

Ford looks edgey, perhaps England pressure and Eddie in crowd.

Nandolo not a threat to Glouc, they taking advantage of his oil tank me momentum.

Cracking game though. Come on Tigers!

Re: Interim - Why?

My understanding is the board took the decision after firing MO to wait until the world cup finals complete before commending recruitment, logic being there are national coaches out there with contracts due to expire but who are not open to discussions on contract for 2019/20 season. GM has been giv...

Re: Anyone on the Board out there who cares?

Well, in response to why not CEO vs chairman. The CEO runs the business, the club! The chairman is simply there to make sure the board don't miss anything crucial.
Given Simon Cohen works to the chairman I'd like to see the chairman roll up sleeved and get stuck in to delivering strategy and context

Re: Anyone on the Board out there who cares?

Leicester Tigers have Peter Tom acting as Chairman; we're in a situation that justifies the role and salary of a chairman to act, Peter has complete overwatch for how the club is being run, in line with club objectives. Simon Cohen has to go, right now the club does not have crystal clear direction ...

Re: Sarries vs Tigers

Thompstone vs Holmes when May returns? My vote goes for Holmes every day of the week. I've beat the drum for Holmes to get more game time all season. He had a pretty good pre-season, as good as Malouf but hasnt played as much. At the min Holmes is a very good understudy for May, perhaps capable of ...

Re: So .... rest of the season

This is a great opportunity to show faith in some of our junior players and have them start regular. With YBY sadly out for the rest of the season, Simmons and White must be chomping at the bit, I hope to see Shazam share the 9 shirt with these two young players. Other players I'd like to see MOC br...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

Harry Thacker confirmed on twitter that he's off to Bristol next season. Not entirely unexpected, an important move for him and opportunity to perhaps specialise in a single position. Harry's passion and tenacity are his greatest assets right now, not enough though to secure a regular first team pla...

Re: MOC to be sacked?

I've just read MOC's latest comments written on the BBC Sport website taken from an interview with BBC Radio Leicester, I doesn't instil confidence that a master plan is about to unfold: "The noise outside the environment is something you can't control." Yes you can, you control it through...

Re: Why not us?

I see Wasps have just attracted a world class fly half. Lots of rumours emanating from Wasps at present regards a likely clear out before the start of next season with some big names in the mix to. Signing Sopoaga doesn't equal instant results, it could be Wasps have a tougher year next year should...

Re: Castres vs Tigers

doesn't say much for motivation for the players picked when the mad in charge basically told them all publicly that they were only playing because he's given up I was thinking exactly the same during the game and in particular felt for Bateman who was singled out to leading the players over the top...
