Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

To be honest, I hadn't heard of Joe Batley before today but I am rather puzzled by the loan deal. He's described as a utility forward but are we that short of locks and back rowers at the moment? Apart from Wells & Liebenberg are there more suspended/injured forwards that we have heard or not heard ...

Re: Falling crowds

Concern about falling crowds at Welford Road is just part of the general air of despondency surrounding the Club at present. The official attendance at WR last Saturday was given as 15,079. This was for a "second tier" Challenge Cup match against mediocre, unfancied opposition and yet 15,079 exceeds...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

This is a bit off message but one thing I like about the Saracens email is that the team list notes the number of Saracens "caps" each player has clocked up eg Richard Wigglesworth (234), Jack Singleton (0)

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Because I have bought tickets from Saracens in the past for the Tigers away game, I receive the regular Saracens emails. One arrived this morning. Standard weekly email: news about this week's team selection, interview with Callum Clark etc but nothing, absolutely nothing about you know what . It's ...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

They were deducted 35 points which put them in 12th position. That has now been suspended pending their appeal.

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

"... Sarries, Bath and Tigers make of that what you will". The three bottom clubs (including the points penalty)!

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

Report in today's DT that Toronto Wolfpack - having signed Sonny Boy Williams - are looking to sign Manu. Manu's in contract with us until June '21 apparently but TW seem to have plenty of financial clout. It's also claimed they are after Ben Two. They're welcome to him!

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

Sarries 35 point deduction has been suspended pending the outcome of a review so unfortunately we're back to 11th in the table.

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

And the BBC. This is the biggest rugby story in the professional era (in my opinion). It could all be deferred by appeals, litigation and long term court action but the damage to Saracens is potentially enormous: fire sale of players? relegation? loss of supporters? Even as a lifelong Tigers support...

Re: London Irish vs Tigers

Do we assume that Genge will be unavailable? He has been training hard and, presumably, is super-fit but hasn't played for a month. Despite all the disappointment I would have thought he'd be keen to get back on the pitch.

Agree with last post. Why both Slade and Joseph? Is Nowell not fully fit?
