Re: Saracens are relegated!

One thing that has come out of this for me is an opinion that I’ve always held - these days it’s probably nigh on impossible for a Premiership team (within the salary cap) to win Europe. I know Exeter are knocking on the door again this year, but from what I have seen I just don’t think they’re goin...

Re: Borthwick

And more to the point it’s got nothing to do with this particular thread. I’m sure SB could have had his pick of jobs to go to. He knows what he is getting himself into, so clearly our current league position does not bother him. That’s good enough for me.

Re: Borthwick

Maybe the glass completely full and overflowing even when we are demonstrably the worst team in the league brigade should actually have a look at the league table. And do what exactly? Come on here and wail and moan and give you a pat on the back and say how right you are? Throw our toys out of the...

Re: Borthwick

Firstly the constant negativity on here is pathetic. Secondly if you are struggling to understand how the arrangement could work then listen to the bbc sport interview with Lancaster from last week. He explains how the roles work between him and Cullen at Leinster. It sounds like a similar setup An...

So it matters not that a new head coach is not here for preseason?
That clearly wasn’t your point. And we don’t yet know that he won’t be here.

Re: Borthwick

Strikes me as very odd that it was posted on this forum back in Oct/Nov when folks thought Borthwick would join post 6 N that he had to give six mths notice? In which case how has that now stretched out until October, when Borthwick has clearly been signed up months ago?? Why in the heck does this ...

Well, he’s broken his forearm.......AGAIN. so who knows what that might mean. He’s going to be out of action after the six nations at least.
The way he went down seemed fairly innocuous did playing on a surface with no give contribute to the injury ?
You have to wonder.

Re: What Now For Our Season?

If I were Murphs I’d now go full bore in Europe. I don’t think we’re top four material so in a sense the league doesn’t matter, so use it to continue the development of the youngsters and the newer players. If that results in a top 6 position then great, but put out a full strength side in Europe fo...

BT2HD at 3pm tomorrow is Racing92 v Munster according to my provider (Virgin) Likewise. No mention of the Tigers game on the Sky planner or BT sport website. Strange... https://www.wheresthematch.com/live-rugby-union-on-bt-sport/ It was announced by the commentary team earlier. BT Sport 2 HD BUT I ...

Re: Johnny May

Watson deserves more credit than that, I am hoping Jones ousts Daly in favour of Furbank. Could be a moot point as Watson limped out of the dead rubber mud bath last night. Geez. How they (Bath) can get away with that pitch in the modern day is beyond me. And as to the comment that JM is better tha...

Re: Tigers vs Cardiff - 12th January 2020

Underpowered and untried team. No idea what GM is playing at. Full strength side, this side goes to Pau after cementing top place while top players rest? Would've turned out best team as Cardiff are! Could be another mistake amongst many. :smt009 :smt009 Joe Batley is definitely under powered after...

I think it’ll be a fairly strong side named to play Cardiff, serving the purpose of continuity and also ensuring a relatively decent gate.

The trip to Pau I suspect will see a more varied side, possibly even the one we can expect to see during the 6N.
I agree. That makes a lot of sense.
