Given Cipriani’s past I think he may be talking about a different kind of cap :smt040
Used to stick 'em in toy pistols 'n play cowboys 'n indians.

Happy days!
Fantastic. I hadn’t thought of those for years. What about potato guns?

Re: Will anyone want to buy the club??

I've heard many rumours that offers have been placed with the club but been rejected as not meeting the price PT wants. I heard KP were willing to pay the £60m but were told not at that price. No one with any salt will want to buy the club at that price with the performances heading towards the Cha...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

This is a bit off message but one thing I like about the Saracens email is that the team list notes the number of Saracens "caps" each player has clocked up eg Richard Wigglesworth (234), Jack Singleton (0) Wow the old fella has done well with 234 appearances. Probably spent longer at Sarries than ...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

As usual Genge makes a good point, I think it would make sense to agree a common minimum wage - perhaps linked to regional rental accommodation prices - for all premiership academies. While we are looking at academy wages, maybe we should clarify which players have actually played in the academy rat...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

I am very amused by some of the comments in the press( origin unknown) that the the players involved were unaware and completely innocent, they received the money, either they have too much or are thick. Guessing the extent of the abuse I cannot see how any other premiership club can afford the pla...

Re: Is Lavanini going to be a liability?

So why not a discussion worrying about whether Leatigaga will fit in? Or any of the other recent overseas signings? Yes of course we should be concerned for the welfare of all players but this thread is about Lavanini. That said, as I mentioned players from the Pacific islands often struggle and be...

Re: Is Lavanini going to be a liability?

I've worked with people from all over the world with varying levels of English and the numbers of them becoming homesick and/or failing to settle in was never any higher than with British people. We already have a variety of different nationalities, including Argentinians, so why would there be a p...

Re: Is Lavanini going to be a liability?

It will be a culture shock for lavanini. He is still a youngster, and working abroad in a foreign language can be very stressful. I would love to see us appoint a mentor to help him settle in. Someone he could talk to about anything. Marcos would be a great choice, but even someone like Matera who h...

I know he is a bit of an anti christ on here but a shout out for Farrell’s captaincy which has been spot on, backed up brilliantly by George and Lenny
Farrell was definitely one of the heroes today. World class competitor, even when he was clearly injured.

Looking forward to seeing 19 year old Manu Vunipola. Alex Goode out for 4 months with a pec injury apparently.
Well I suppose it’s good Saracens are including one or two players from their academy :smt003

Well on the plus side, choosing Farrell at fly half probably means we’ll have our players back to Welford Road sooner.

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

The matter was to be referred to an independent non-profit .org who to be fair seem to be pretty good at publishing decisions. https://www.sportresolutions.co.uk/decisions That said, I am not confident that we will hear the full details of any settlement, punishment, exoneration or indeed arbitratio...
