What happens if 2/3 clubs go bust though?
Do you mean if 2/3 of championship clubs go bust or 2/3 of premiership clubs?
Either way it’s a very good question.

Re: Ealing threatening legal action

With Newcastle asking all players and stuff to take unpaid leave, and with a weak squad as it is, can Newcastle even qualify for promotion? Even if they do I doubt they'll survive. My guess is at least one of Wasps, Worcester or Falcons will end up selling their premiership stake in the next 18 mon...

Tigers on TV today

Ugo Monye has tweeted that BT Sports are showing a couple of Quins’ “classic” rugby matches this afternoon.
Second one is against Tigers.

Re: Ealing threatening legal action

I very much doubt it’s publicity, I suspect it’s more to do with making sure they are promoted before ringfencing is introduced. It seemed to me for some time, that Ealing have been planning to be a premiership club within the next three years or so. If it looks like the drawbridge is being raised, ...

Re: Could this be the end for some clubs?

An awful lot of businesses are going to have their resilience sorely tested - tragically many will fail. I can't imagine being an owner affected first by Brexit, then by flooding and now by this. Disasters like the proverbial London busses. Just to be clear, you do know that Brexit hasn’t happened ...

Where you can buy toilet paper ??
Go to the newsagents and buy the Sun it should last you a few days, either that or a Wasps programme! :smt002
Telegraph is of a similar standard these days, and probably more suitable for those who need broader sheets.

Does it say which clubs? I guess Wasps is looking most precarious?

Re: May, Kalamafoni and McPhillps extended injuries

Money, in a word. I don't think rugby matches played in empty stadia would generate enough money to justify the risk. Risk being the risk of 46 players plus officials coming into close bodily contact. Well I certainly agree that there is a strong risk of transmission, you can’t socially distance in...

Re: May, Kalamafoni and McPhillps extended injuries

I agree about ring fencing, I'm totally against it but this year - it seems to me - that not only will there be no competition at the bottom of the league to avoid relegation, there will also be no competition at the top. It seems near certain to me that the season will have to be curtailed and may...

Re: Will Marler get jail time?

I would be surprised if he gets less than six months but nine might be closer to the mark, given the premeditation and his lack of remorse.

That said, disciplinary committees are sometimes a lottery.

Re: Coronavirus: Sarries know best!

Teds, Mako is working within the current guidelines. England have chosen to exercise the caution of not having him in the camp. If this was Joe Bloggs returning to the UK then I would expect the same decision, no need to self isolate. We can agree to disagree and leave it at that. Tigerbeat, I pres...

Re: Coronavirus: Sarries know best!

If he has completed the NHS questionnaire, declared he has passed through Hong Kong, shows no symptons and has not been in contact with any confirmed cases the advice is that self isolation is not required. Sarries have done no wrong but seem to be targetted. England have made their own decision to...

Re: Coronavirus: Sarries know best!

Let's be clear, the issue isn't with the medical advice given and who should be more cautious etc. The issue here is with using any excuse to knock Sarries whether it's relevant to the salary cap issue or not. As I see it, the issue is clearly with public health, and the disease spreading more quic...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/51737567 Sent from camp as a precaution as the environment is 24/7 with England. He is not in self isolation....looks like it has been mis reported! The thread started with the fact that Mako clearly wasn’t in self isolation. :-) My experience includes severa...
