Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

And ‘New Zealand wing Telusa Veainu....’ :smt005 He is from NZ and played for NZ age grade teams, so they are not that wide of the mark. It would be a poor show for Telusa to be announcing Jordan's departure from Tigers. That is Jordan's business to announce or, by agreement, the club or indeed som...

The guy posting on Facebook with Veainu's name is a swimming instructor and went to St Andrew's College, Christchurch - is that Telusa?
He found a new gig pretty quickly then!

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

There are some assumptions you could probably draw about the media leaker given who has been involved in the last few incidents, but it sounds like the club are taking it pretty seriously. Childish really, it serves no purpose and they were clearly never going to let individual players be bigger tha...

Re: New Rugby Coronavirus Laws

Surely they would be better off just isolating each player before the game, testing them for COVID and using the result of that as a basis for deciding if they can play or not, at the same full tilt as a normal game. All this faffing around with half measures that just ruin the whole rugby experienc...

Re: World rugby grounds

The rec seems to be in there because 'it has a nice backdrop', which is fine but that has nothing to do with being a good rugby ground and it fails massively in nearly every other metric. Kingsholm is a dump in places but at least it has a bit of character. The whole piece is a bit odd though, it se...

Re: Players asked to take pay cuts!

Any changes like removing the marquee players won't come into affect immediately anyway, it will be near impossible with current contracts. That said I can't see a single one of these ideas (even though most of them appear sensible) coming to fruition when you need every single club to agree.

Re: England v Wales

I wonder if Marler will be sanctioned for tweaking Alun Wyn Jones' wedding tackle? Goode not happy on twitter about it. Minimum sanction could be as high as 12 weeks Goode was taking the :censored: when it happened, funny how he changed his tune when he saw everyone elses reaction. The man is a clo...

Re: Sale vs Leicester - 21st February 2020

Looking forward to seeing the team coached by someone who knows what they're actually doing but worried that long term, we're promoting GM to an even more senior role when he's so patently ill-equipped to fulfill that role. I know this is going to sound incredibly harsh but if you can't manage a re...

Re: France v England

Just proved the known problems for me: - Need a solution to whoever plays alongside Itoje - Need a long term/backup plan for 8 that isn't just shoving a flanker in there - Put our scrum half options out to pasture and figure out who needs to be brought through - Lack of decent carry options with Bil...
