Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Am I right in thinking Taufua was given an extra week to sign a new contract? If so, 5pm today would be the deadline for him.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

TV confirmed to Stade by the Parisians themselves.

Interesting to see he has now already been taken off the Tigers squad page, so Leicester are quick on the draw there, but the other five players still remain on the page, for now.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Lots of ifs, buts, maybes and wild speculation but... Assuming all six named players are leaving the club, and assuming the club will now look for replacements, there should be roughly the following available budget (back-of-the-fag-packet, off-the-top-of-my-head figures assuming Manu was on 500k as...

Ideas for revenue generation at Tigers

I’m not at all belittling those in charge of the club’s finances at this troubling time. I think they appear to be doing what they can in a very hard situation. However, I do think the club could perhaps think a little more outside the box in terms of revenue generation with no match day revenue at ...

Re: 2016/17 Signings watch

I think McGuigan from Newcastle is pretty much a done deal.

I expect Genge will be back after he is done with the Championship play-offs as well. Blaze almost let slip that they had signed him on Rugby Hour yesterday but had to correct himself.

Re: Team V Ulster

Depends We are most likely going to be missing: Youngs, Youngs, Paling, Manu, Cole, Leo, Barbieri, Mulipola, Ayerza, Scully, Goneva and maybe maybe Kitchener, Rizzo, Croft, Loamanu, Williams Out of those we will prob be getting back by 1/4 final time: Leo, Barbieri, Goneva, Scully Maybe Young, Youn...

Re: EEC Round 6 permutations

Also, if we beat ulster by 35+, a glasgow win and a Sarries loss (even with a lbp) could see us through.

Re: EEC Round 6 permutations

One runner up from pool 2 unless we can beat Ulster by 50+, and of course one from pool 5, so there's one place left.

Need Montpellier to win at home and Sarries to lose by 8+.

And of course pick up the TBP in Ireland.

Easy.

EEC Round 6 permutations

OK, so next week, assuming we get the 5 match points in Belfast and win by a decent amount of points we need 2 of the following... 1. Sarries to leave Clermont with nothing, or, smash them by 30+ 2. Wasps to gain less than 2 match points Vs Leinster AND Quins to get less than 4 tries in Castres, or,...

Re: Scarlets down Ulster

17 could easily be enough to get us through. Bath won't beat Toulouse away, Glasgow won't beat Bath away. And if Sarries miss out on a lbp in France we would be through on 17 and an improved points difference.

Re: Scarlets down Ulster

Bath or Glasgow can only qualify as runners up if they win a tough away game. And there's still the very much plausible scenario of Sarries beating Munster at Allianz and then getting humped in France to finish second in pool 1 with 17. So 17 points, 5 against Scarlets and 4 in Ulster, along with a ...

Re: A Call to Arms

Damn right, we need to roar until we are hoarse!!!!! The terrace will be the main source of noise due to the volume of people, I just hope that the fans around me in the (A&L) Goldsmith stand realise how much their actual passion and support is required to lift a team playing well below par aga...
