Re: Murphy wants the job full time
I haven’t seen any progress in the backs from Geordan that justifies him as a decent back coach let alone a shot at head coach! A great player, YES A great servant and tiger through and through YES A coach of any description NO. Very few set plays that come off, regular handling errors and a 10, 12 ...

Re: Tigers v Saints predictions
Loving the Bench. Wells and particularly Evans providing much needed energy, good to see worth on the bench and Holmes, the 2nd fastest player in the squad deserves a run out after injury 👍 Matt smith was the obvious choice as the most reliable replacement for Tait/manu. Lack of pace is far outweigh...

Re: Tigers v Wasps Sunday March 25th
Watching Mat "Call me Harry Potter" Tait's try-saving tackle over and over - and surmising that, had Manu not gone off injured, not sure Robson would have been caught. Manu has huge attributes but a sprint over that distance to catch one of the Prem's quickest 9s would have been beyond hi...

Re: Tigers v Wasps Sunday March 25th
A terrific game of rugby. Wasps should have been out of sight but they didn’t finish their chances and we came on strong towards the end of the game. Manu’s pec strain looked pretty serious to me. Can’t see him coming back for a few weeks which is a worry. Tait has anothee good game but I feel we ne...

Re: Sarries vs Tigers
There’s a lot of talk about the centres and back line improvement when in reality the recent wins all stems from more physical forwards who are able to clear out quickly and make metres from relatively static positions which creates loads more time for the back line. When our forwards play badly all...

Re: Tigers v Munster
A decent first half badly deteriorated in the 2nd. Yet again it was a poor forward display for the most part. Line outs inaccurate (again) and numerous knock on’s in the tackle Last week Munster played on the edge and clearly riled OTY and Dan Cole...and their response today was totally indiscipline...

Re: Munster vs Tigers
Munster are always physical and will always play on the edge. We should have known that! Can’t believe how naive we are. They’re winning the breakdown so easily. Vieanu’s defence coverage at 15 is so amateurish its a joke. Likewise OTY isn’t thinking! And mindless running lines has left smith and Ta...

Re: Wasps v Tigers
Some crucial mistakes at the wrong time cost us against a better attacking team. Mapapalangi and kalamfoni brought some much needed power. Owens was very direct whilst he was on and Holmes is pushing for a regular start. Vieanu was non existent and Tait doesn’t have the stamina or pace to play 80 mi...

Re: Tigers vs Falcons
Tait was brought in at 12 for one reason which was to provide quick ball wide. He has quicker and more accurate passing execution than all other options at 12 and we have arguably the best finishes in the league at present in Veainu and May so it was a strategy that worked for the 2nd week running. ...

Re: Tigers vs Falcons
Perfect surface for Veainu to step players at pace. It makes a huge difference to quick ball and back play moves. All rosey at present but we need a plan B for the winter ahead. Not quite sure if manu’s and owen’s progress but Tait and smith will need to be rotated in the months to come. More physic...

Re: Tigers v Castres
Thoroughly enjoyable attacking rugby. Yes, terrible last 15 minutes but I’m not going to complain. Vieanu, May and Genge were stand out performers for me. Both may and genge should be starters for England imo. And a shout out for old man tait. 10 years ago he lit up the World Cup final. Today he’s c...

Re: Racing 92 vs. Tigers
Tompstone should not go and will not go straight into the team over Malouf. I rate tompstone but he shouldn’t make the 23 with the current squad in play. Malouf has been developing each game and what he lacks in experience he makes up with his pace and engine, especially after playing several 80 min...

Re: Tigers Vs Quins
Guys, Tomoua is not the be all and end all of the tigers back line! He is world class yes, and had s great 30 mins lasr week but 2 weeks ago you were saying he is rusty and questioning his place! First and foremost the fowards need to step up and line our needs to be sorted. Unless injuries interfer...
