Re: Late night disturbance
The players involved should be made to sit in a Mc Donalds all day as a punishment... Plus another day being taught by a Nutritionist just what toxic :censored: they are putting into their bodies........... Drunk or not !! You do have to wonder about the culture towards conditioning at the club. In...

Re: Simon Cohen takes a different view.......as do Glaws
You have to come from the assumption (correctly) that clubs will not control wage inflation at the top end. This is human nature. We know this from every other team sport with increasing incomes. The idea of a minimum wage / squad side / English qualified, means you would have in any one premiership...

I would still like to the see them bring in
1. A minimum senior squad size (45)
2. A minimum contract (100k)
3. A maximum non English qualified limit (15 per squad).

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
It was a very good day for English rugby, both club and country, when Iain Ritchie was appointed. An excellent CEO.

Re: Johnson v Eales
Not so long ago many retrospective " best of's " were created and some were All Time Rugby XVs. The 2nd row was usually Eales and Johnson, the captain, nearly always Johnson. That may strengthen the case made by the landslide vote earlier in the thread. Allowing for the difference in era /...

Re: Aus v Eng - 3rd Test - Team is up
I'm getting a bit excited about having a back line of Youngs, Burns/Williams, Toomua, Tuilagi, Betham, Thompstone and Veianu next season! He did some really nice things, Elllis, and will be a welcome addition to the Tigers. He was however overshadowed by his opposite number who was outstanding and ...

Re: Manu Tuilagi
For me there is a significant difference between a player that at any given point may be selected in a hypothetical World 23 based on form, and a player who over a number of years performs at the very highest levels and could therefore be described as World class. There are plenty of the former, and...

For the Saracens lads..Farrell, Itoje, Billy, Mako and Kruis...a GS, AP, EC, and Aussie Tour victory. Sensational season. Also a word for Robs...

Re: Any news on DESSO pitch?
Is the Hong Kong Rugby championship not all played on the same 4g surface at the HK sporting club. The national team also play their Asian international games on the 4g. They did a study on injuries compared to the English premiership Hope this link works. http://playerwelfare.worldrugby.org/?subsec...

Re: England Eligibility
Arguably be scrapped altogether - which way? Play for the country you're born in (poor old Simon shaw, Ronan O'Gara....etc) or allow allegiance to be selected by the player? The country needs to know. Players cited like Shaw and O Gara are qualified by citizenship, parents, grandparents etc. Reside...

Re: England Eligibility
The Underhill/Armitage issue is just about England's selection policy not about international eligibility. Correct. They are both eligible for England. Its really the residency issue that needs to be looked at as a starting point to improve the situation. It should move to Five or Seven years minim...
