Re: Next up London Irish - home - 5th March 2021

Encouraged by the determination seemingly rediscovered by our side. Irish were impressive for periods of the game.
More than anything, I’m pleased some of the younger players are getting experience.

My Saints pal says he’s happy and will take the two points.

Re: Is this season a Farce with the cancellations

Rugby's system of penalising a team for having cases of COVID is partly what's causing the issue. Four rounds in and we're already considering if the whole season is essentially null and void. Football may have a backlog of fixtures but it's not going to relegate anyone without them kicking a ball....

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester - Teams Up

Pleasantly unexpected. It’s like they’ve suddenly decided to play rugby.
I thought Wigglesworth was excellent as was Steward, but the whole team produced. Well done.

I’m more concerned that we’ve got a group of young players getting regularly thumped and whose confidence is likely suffering.

Re: Midweek Game - Wed 09 Sep Away to Wasps

It’s unfair to criticise SB. I remember when Eddie Jones was first appointed and said after the first few games that a new coach is playing with someone else’s team.

Re: Midweek Game - Wed 09 Sep Away to Wasps

All we need to do is improve our defence and our attack. :smt002 But more seriously, forget the next few games and start again next season. Don't forget the set piece... If you ignore today’s shambles our lineout and scrum have been solid. I’ve been very impressed with the huge improvement in the l...

You would have thought I might have better things to do than watch my team get thrashed game in, game out.
Whilst there are now no collapses, a win might break up the monotony.

Re: Team for Exeter

It would be nice to see signs that Borthwick has been able to fix the long-standing lineout problems. Yes, their back three is stronger than ours, as is their outside centre, but our 9,10,12 combo is top drawer and we should be able to compete up front. It feels a bit strange, but my only emotion g...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

I applaud the new player recruitment -some great talent - but as we’ve all noticed it takes more than on-field talent to deliver an effective winning team.
