Re: Exiles set for Exile?
Good context RG, helpful, and great point about the three folded clubs. That could have really helped bridge the divide.

Re: Exiles set for Exile?
Definitely nowhere near as doomy or gloomy as thought! Leaving out Quins and Sarries (who hosted ‘big games’), Us (22k), Briz (16k), Gloucester (14k), Bath (13k) and Saints (13k) did solid average attendance numbers, while Exeter (10k), LI (9k), Sale (6k), Newc (5k) look gradually less pretty. The b...

Re: Exiles set for Exile?
Just looked up the 2022/23 attendance numbers; 22,000 average (out of 25,849), with 11,500 season tickets quoted as having being sold on 28/07/22. Waaay better than I assumed it would have been post covid. Hopefully entirely wrong about attendee decline!

Re: Exiles set for Exile?
In an increasingly introverted and screen-focussed world, in hindsight I’m not sure our investment in increased stadium capacity was the best idea. A venue where you need to buy a season ticket (or book well in advance) to guarantee getting a seat would have held demand through limited availability....

Average age of 23 for the starting pack. All 22 or under except Green at 31 and Snyman at 26.

Re: Next Number 10 ?
What about Malins? No idea if contract status, but he certainly originally emerged as a FH. EQP friendly, covers WG and FB (pertinent if we are losing Kobus?) and a hell of a player. Would expect to lose him to England, but I think we’re fairly well stacked with Burns, Heggarty and Lancaster. His sk...

Re: Round 3 - Saracens (H) - Saturday 02nd October 2021
I’ve been hearing impressed noises about Saumaki, particularly over his power and general application. Only really seen his highlight reel and preseason appearances, but his timing when hitting opposition taking high balls stood out to me. Considering the potential for a 50/22 wary backfield, I wond...

Hmmm, I had missed the three year thingummy but I believe it only applies to signings from other English clubs.

Re: Anthony Allen
I think the Banahan experiment is MJ's rather optimistic pursuit of a S.B. Williams esque, hands past the tackle, hefty, off-loading 12. Hence his gradual shift infield for Bath and subsequently the Saxons. As far as I can see MJ et al want a nippy 11, 14 and 15, cutting good angles from deep onto 1...

Re: Latest rumour and speculation.
Here is an off the cuff thought, how about players who come through from your academy don't count towards the salary cap (or perhaps only % of their salary). Would encourage home players. I think that is one of the best ideas I've heard; An incentive for the higher earning clubs to invest emerging ...

Fantasy Premiership 09/10
I'm sure that in previous years one has appeared by now, (Simply, coral etc.) does anyone know if any are planned for this season?
