What a load of absolute carp, two moments of inspiration - JVP in the first half, and Shilcock/OHC in the second, apart from that, utter rubbish. :smt019

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

Last night’s failure in my view comes down to coaching deficiencies. Defensive lapses, lack of direction in attack, poor decision making, lack of conditioning, poor place kicking, poor box kicking, I could go on! We have good players playing at a level that is far below the sum of their parts. I do ...

Re: Tigers v Gloucester - Premiership Cup Final - Friday 15th March 2024 - KO:7-45pm

Pretty good in defence for 38 minutes in first half but that is about it. After that abject rubbish, hopeless indiscipline, yellow cards, down to thirteen. Offered nothing in attack for 70 minutes, finally woke up for last 10 mins, but if DM thinks that is enough he is sadly mistaken. I have renewed...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

You have to question the Coach’s judgement when he selects Furbank over Steward. As someone said elsewhere, it is like choosing Cornflakes over Cocopops!………….Why would you do it? :smt005

Re: Other matches - 19th - 21st January 2024

So, thanks to the utter numpties that designed this farce of a competition, in our section of the draw we have Ireland er…… sorry I mean Leinster, La Rochelle, Leicester and Stormers. Wasn’t that more or less the group we were just in! You could not make this stuff up - the game is being run by idio...

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Champions Cup - Saturday 20th January 2024 - KO: 3-15pm

Unlike last week, today I thought the team as a whole put in a good effort . However, I am done with this joke of a competition, I will not bother attending another match in it. What is the point when the playing field is not level. On my reckoning Leinster fielded 9 of the last Ireland internationa...

Re: Tigers v La Rochelle (A) - Champions Cup - Sunday 14th January 2024 - KO - 3-15pm

Who is talking about knee jerk sackings, or even expecting a win against La Rochelle? Certainly not me. That said, I think we are entitled to not be massacred and embarrassed who ever the opposition is. We should expect better skills from full time professionals than we see, and when it is clear tha...

Re: Tigers v La Rochelle (A) - Champions Cup - Sunday 14th January 2024 - KO - 3-15pm

I have every sympathy for whatever personal issue is keeping Alan Dickens on leave of absence. But that lack of a backs and attack coach is killing us. I wish today was a one off, but sadly it is not. Our attack is lack lustre, yes we can maul and the forwards can do their stuff close to the line, b...

Re: Tigers v La Rochelle (A) - Champions Cup - Sunday 14th January 2024 - KO - 3-15pm

Anybody who was thinking we are anything like the finished article have seen just how far off we really are. It is not that we are being beaten by a good team, it is the fact we are so utterly hopeless in attack. How can you go up against a team of thirteen and then make three unforced errors and co...

Re: Tigers v Exeter (A) - Premiership - Saturday 23rd December 2023 - KO 3-00pm

Well, glad I did not shell out my cash for a ticket and fuel to go to Exeter. What a load of utter dross. For me our so called ‘stars’ (Weiser and Steward excepted) need to take a long hard look at themselves, they were awful. We are going backwards, no grunt going forward, no penetration, basic han...

Re: Tigers v Stade Francais (A) - Champions Cup - Sunday 17th December 2023 - KO:5-30pm

If that second ball got on to the pitch from a Stade ball boy they should be booted out of the competition for blatant cheating. With all the cameras these days it should be easy to determine.

Re: Atmosphere during games

No we do not music blasting out or people telling us when to cheer, like they have at Quins and Newcastle. I agree the game has too many stoppages, scrum resets, endless TMO intervention and what have you. They are what needs addressing, not anything else.

Re: Tigers v Quins (H) - Premiership - Saturday 11th November 2023 KO: 15:05

Very disappointed with the performance yesterday. Our defence was porous, ball handling errors abounded, line out still a lottery, and under powered at the breakdown. That was a pretty average Quinns performance, but we made them look good. I do not think we exited cleanly once from a kick off havin...

Re: Play Off Semi-final - Sale - 14th May 2023 - KO 3-00pm

After a valiant 64 minutes a combination of poor skill execution and bad judgement gifted this game to Sale.

I hope Sale beat the Saracens, but sadly I cannot see it happening.

Re: 6 Nations 2023

So, all you have to do is run at the opposition leading with your head and hey presto the opponents all get sent off. Utter garbage. As for the itv pundits only Sir Clive had anything sensible to say, all the others were waffling on about duty of care and other cobblers. Jaco Peiper has form for dod...
