Re: What?? Prem clubs should employ refs?
Can't see why this is being automatically viewed as a strange suggestion: the AP is one of the few major world wide sporting competition which doesn't do this. Is that true? I don't think that's true. Cricket ECB (ICC) Rugby RFU (IRB) Football A private company - premier league match officials or s...

Re: Sarries 23 this week?
That's better a bit of fight and dog. I think all us fans can accept the defeats - but when we roll over and don't fight we go spare. One Tiger's front rower looked like a 40 cap veteran and it wasn't Cole. That said I don't think he's ready for a call up yet - would like to see him in the 'extended...

Re: When are fixtures finalised?
Trouble is looking at the fixtures list doesn't answer my question. I mentioned 10th January as that is far as the TV coverage for Leicester's league matches go so far. Therefore the fixtures up to then have been finalised. I understand that and thanks. Do we know when the next batch will be finali...

Re: When are fixtures finalised?
After a quick glance at the fixture list, I would say they have been finalised up to and including the Quins match on Sat 10 Jan. There were over 130 visits to this thread before me and no one else thought to look at the fixture list or suggest Tigerref did so? Thanks for this Perhaps I wasn't clea...

When are fixtures finalised?
I am looking to arrange a weekend in the New Year around a Tiger's game - does any one know when the KO days and times get finalised?
Cheers

Re: What about the ref?!
Tigerref, I think a ref at WR has had a good game if no-one does complain - sort of no news is good news - and a truly brilliant game if someone posts that he did well. I agree that he wasn't intrusive, some (no names) seem to think that the crowd have turned up to watch them referee. On the two to...

Re: What about the ref?!
There was something technically different about the two incidents: The first one (Goneva) the ball was dropped into the field of play and then bounced out. The second one (Quins player) - the ball was dropped into touch. From how Tigerref has explained it and my position on the terrace, I would sug...

Re: What about the ref?!
I'd have thought there'd have been more made here of the two touch calls - both with the player with his foot in touch one given as touch one not.... What is the law around that? Seen as you mention it - and Oz didn't seem to sure. It's about the pane of touch. If the ball crosses the pane of touch...

What about the ref?!
Oh that's right we won - he must have had a good game
I am of course being cheeky. On a serious note I thought he had a solid game.

Re: Tigers v Irish v The Ref?
Not seen the game so can't comment on the performance (of the ref or the Tigers) But a few things jump out at me. We bemoan consistency is it consistency the issue or UNIFORMITY? i.e. Did the ref make a different decision about the same circumstances in the game (consistency) OR did this ref rule it...

Re: Friday night fixtures
Controversial I know but I love Friday night rugby. I understand for the fan attending the game it must be a pain. But for anyone who still plays ( or refs/coaches etc) at a handy level can't drink on a Friday (or Wednesday or Thursday for that matter :smt012 ) Rugby on the telly on a Friday is bril...

Re: Ref Guidance 2014/15
http://www.dorsetandwiltsrefs.org.uk/documents/FRONT-ROW-REGS.pdf Thought I'd share this one with you as an example of how complex our game is getting. FR player leaves the field in an amateur league game - is contested or uncontested scrums do they play on with 14 or 15 what about blood or red card...

Re: Ref Guidance 2014/15
It is complex, if you don't complex apparently there's a game that's popular further north that has 13 players...........
