Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Even at 100K increases each that should count for 300K extra off. I struggle to see us just signing 3 players, I don't expect any more obvious starters for next season but depth wise centres will be bare bones. I don't see realistically how we could afford to buy out Simmonds and Marchant and if any...

Hatherell carrying imo is better than any Saints player.
Which to me sums up how important game plan is.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Agree 100% with this Agree the planning this year does seem to be have been poor. Normally we’re told that recruitment is done and dusted by December for the next season . But it appears we’re still talking to the likes of Simmonds, Marchant etc If you think about Wiese leaving, T Willis, CCS, Merc...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

The club really needs to pick up some more promising young players More planning and we might have been able to have signed CCS to replace Wiese, Louie Johnson to back up Pollard. Like we should have seen Irish failing and had a talk with Wiese about his future, if he wasn't going to commit to a lo...

George Makepeace-Cubitt the England U20 fly half that beat France is unattached, I think Bath and Chinnor 10 George Worboys is avaiable end of season also.

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

Honestly Kicking is prob our best chance of beating Saints. But obviously the kicking needs to be spot on and the chase needs to be great. Steward v Hendy in the air I feel would net us positive yardage. You don't play in your own half against a team like Saints. My biggest worry is how good Saints ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

If Meredith is off I would want another 10 either development or back up Pollard. I would have thought we would have to bring somebody in as (correct me if i'm wrong) we will only have Pollard and Wilkinson as full time 10's and Shillcock and Woodward as players who can play 10 in a pinch. Is there...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I guess who knows what the new attack coach and McKeller will be wanting moving forward. Depending on who it is we might be seeing our gameplan change a bit. On Meredith I don't get why we wouldn't keep him but I can't see it being wrong considering that Titcombe knows people in loughborough. I know...

Re: Race for the top 4.

Redpath and Russell both sound like they will be out for potentially over a month 9. Spencer 10. Bailey 12. Ojomoh 13. Lawrence Isn't a bad backline core but it's a lot more vulnerable Bailey is talented but IMO not a natural 10 (Reminds me of Devoto honestly) and they are 1 win from 4 in the games ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

All discussions tigers will always eventually end up about Loffreda It is a fair comparison, no? I appreciate it was 16 years ago at this point, but a coach coming in, affected by World Cup year. Purely based on league results - 1999/00 - Dean Richards - Finished 1st - Champions 2003/04 - Dean Rich...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022

Bath confirm Molony I know Barf fans are excited but to me honestly this feels like a signing we would've made pre Borthwick. Good squad player but just a solid level starter. I guess it depends on how Bath view him in the depth chart but looking at their locks I would say he's prob gonna be a star...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

SB basically had his first season as a free shot, so I think the same should be afforded to DMK. Agree with other comments, we were massively affected being a WC year and have probably done okay overall. That being said, the two results against Gloucester did make me massively question the directio...
