Re: Race for the top 4.

Redpath and Russell both sound like they will be out for potentially over a month 9. Spencer 10. Bailey 12. Ojomoh 13. Lawrence Isn't a bad backline core but it's a lot more vulnerable Bailey is talented but IMO not a natural 10 (Reminds me of Devoto honestly) and they are 1 win from 4 in the games ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

All discussions tigers will always eventually end up about Loffreda It is a fair comparison, no? I appreciate it was 16 years ago at this point, but a coach coming in, affected by World Cup year. Purely based on league results - 1999/00 - Dean Richards - Finished 1st - Champions 2003/04 - Dean Rich...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022

Bath confirm Molony I know Barf fans are excited but to me honestly this feels like a signing we would've made pre Borthwick. Good squad player but just a solid level starter. I guess it depends on how Bath view him in the depth chart but looking at their locks I would say he's prob gonna be a star...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

SB basically had his first season as a free shot, so I think the same should be afforded to DMK. Agree with other comments, we were massively affected being a WC year and have probably done okay overall. That being said, the two results against Gloucester did make me massively question the directio...

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

One thing to flag is that this will be Hanro Liebenberg's 100th start for the club, so he will get his club cap & a more fancy tie. I think the last player to get the club cap for 100 starts was George Ford in 2022 & before that Harry Wells. It's not been as common a feature as it was in th...

Re:Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

I'm just hoping two of Chessum, Martin and Reffell are fit If Scott is fit I would def start him at 13, would be tempted to keep Kata at 12. Just an attacking point of difference especially with Saints centre injuries keep the back row and 12 tight in defence, then use Shillcock behind Pollard to tr...

Anyway on to rumours Patrick Pellegrini wouldn't be a bad shout for a Pollard back up IMO.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Pep finished 3rd in his first season at Manchester City, he is now on course to have won the league in 6 of the last 7 seasons. Using some people's ideas or thoughts on here, he would have been gone after the first season. Head Coaches / DoR's do need time to be able to implement ideas. As others h...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

When have we seen anything near a full strength squad turn out this season! Yes, all teams get injuries etc but when I’m not watching Tigers home and away I watch the other Premiership teams and they manage to get settled squads out. Borthwick had a season of awful performances before turning thing...

yep. jobs for the boys......... Just say the name. If it ends up right, great. If it ends up wrong, who cares. As I said earlier if it’s internal job why delay it. I don't think he means boys as in Leicester, but more for McKeller boys (Aussies) Which I mean Aussie backs coaches do at least tend to...
