Re: Injury dispensation

I agree that bringing in a wing might not have been a big leap but playing Steward and Brown on the wing was hardly a success. Do players have to be out for 3 months if the injury takes them past the end of season like Simmons and presumably Bassett & Watson? Has to be within the season or 8 we...

Re: Injury dispensation

When you think about it though how many injury signings across the league was made? Bassett never had a 3 month gap injured Ill be honest winger depth was never the issue, en if we brought in a winger they would’ve made a difference. I would like to know the whole coaching situation and the reason w...

Ben Agbenu not been kept by the Saints squad, he would be worth a look as a dev 13/wing player
Scored a cracking try in the final.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

On Moroni I don't think we need someone younger or quicker We have Perese coming in to hopefully provide an attacking aspect. But what we will be missing without Scott next season is a more stable force. Moroni was never that quick a player for us, he didn't make breaks very much from what I remembe...

Dave Ewers apparently leaving Ulster I want him but not sure he would fit in with the balance. Unless Hanro goes to 8. 6. Ewers, Canrduff, Rogerson, Manz 7. Reffell, Ilione, Cracknell, Beddall 8. Hanro, Hatherell, Beets, Williams The thing I like about Ewers a lot is he plays like an 8 in attack bu...

The money still won’t be comparable on the whole.

Would rather for example get one of Dura back rowers with a couple of Wells, Carter (when he was here), Cracknell and Rogerson moving on.

Then plug the holes with Carnduff, Ilione and back Josh Manz, Beddall and Thomas to fill up the depth

I didn’t think the landscape has changed that much, the PI super rugby teams will prob make it easier to spot.

From what I’ve seen the French and Japanese clubs haven’t strongly recruited from them either.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

The trick is to make better use of scouting the South hemisphere To expand on this. Because to me the end of season is more important than the start. As the current league set up is at least. I don’t know if many would agree with me but I would love to be able to sign a All black on a Jordie Barret...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

But the successful teams sacrifice depth and trust the youth more in favour of more quality in depth elsewhere I believe one of the issues that Tigers have encountered is that we're maybe relying too much on that batch of youngsters who have come through the system (Steward, JVP, Martin, Reffell et...
