Re: Leinster mind games begin? - Champions Cup (A) - Saturday 06th April 2024 - KO:8:00pm

It was always going to be tough but given Steward and Shilcock are starting to have Brown who is primarily a fullback on the bench suggests we don't really have any other backs left fit. I hate a 6 2 split but this could have been the game for it...if we have any forwards left. I just hope its a pre...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

If you pick a winger for his kicking rather than speed or ability, it says something about how we are going to play.... its almost like someone has forgotten we need to win with a BP to have any chance and would rather win the game 3 nil

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Champions Cup - Saturday 20th January 2024 - KO: 3-15pm

Having reflected, my issue with the referee wasn't just that many decisions went against us (at least 12 points worth were straight in front of us) but that a) if he is a rookie then why wasn't he given more experienced support b) Leinster would have known his failings from the league and c) we didn...

Anyone else thinking if we had gone full noise, we would have a really good chance here....even a reserve winger would have helped. Still there to win

Re: Tigers v Saracens (A) - Premiership - Saturday 4th November - KO:15-05

I am strangely not too unhappy with where we are. With better handling, key line-outs won and less bizarre tmo decisions that would have been very close.... plus Kata looked good and shillcock continues to impress. Only problem is the lack of games to go.....

Re: RWC 2023 Fixtures and results

I may regret saying this but apart from leaving out Arundel, I quite like the selection. We are underdogs and having a strong bench is key. If we are close with 20 to go, we have a chance. Plus Pollard, Youngs and Wiese should be ready to go after next weekend and Chessum hasn't played that many gam...

Why doesn't the captain calmly question the amount of Fiji forward passes ..?

Re: RWC 2023 Fixtures and results

I suspect with a short period in charge before the world cup Borthwick just went with what he knew. I'm not saying that is right. I really hope there is a clear out for the 6 nations. Put Kelly at 12, Lawrence 13, Murley and Arundel on the wings and you have a much more dynamic side whoever plays 10...

Re: RWC 2023 Fixtures and results

Do england finish top if Japan don't get a BP as no one else can get more than 14 points and if level it goes on head to head? I may well be wrong!

Re: RWC 2023 Fixtures and results

I agree with many that not having a quality goal kicker and the rub of the green on the refereeing decisions going against them cost south africa the game. However, does the game really matter for them. If the winner of the group would play anyone other than the all blacks or France then I suspect w...

Re: RWC 2023 Fixtures and results

It does make you wonder if after the Curry red card that officials are thinking twice. I really hope his red card is deemed sufficient given he was trying to wrap and knees bent and the Argentinian was in the air with no control. You can tell a great referee when you don't notice them but in recent ...

Re: RWC 2023 Fixtures and results

I think we need a volunteer to run at lavinini so he does something daft and we can even this up. Seemed to me in both instances it was the Argentinian out of control and there was mitigation for Curry. The danger is now that they wont dare to overturn a ridiculous bunker decision....

I am not sure anyone outside of Dublin or Bloemfontein is now supporting Leinster. Let's hope its a great end to the game.

Re: Play Off Semi-final - Sale - 14th May 2023 - KO 3-00pm

All things considered, it's a pretty good season. It wasn't just the loss of Pollard but the drop between a world class 10 and retiring player who usually plays centre. Ford was also exceptional and if it was instead he who pulled out late, there is every chance the result would have been different....

Re: Play Off Semi-final - Sale - 14th May 2023 - KO 3-00pm

I 100% agree that if he is fit enough, Dolly should be on the bench. I don’t like a 6 2 bench but against Sale its a consideration. Realistically, if its close, and if he's on his usual form, we won't take the emperor off so having a hooker who could change the game or go into the back row in an eme...
