Re: Boxing Day vs Newcastle

Any one else curious how the Bayonne game appears to be going ahead? Surely if we have a case then they would have to isolate too? Its a mess but player welfare must come first but consistency also needed.

Of all those missing, Wayne Barnes looks like the biggest loss!

Re: Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year

I think Steward is a huge talent but over the season young player has to be Reffell. Player of the season probably Ford but Liebenberg is close as is Taufua

Re: Predictions 20-21

I'd like it to be..1. Genge 2. Montoya 3. Cole 4. Martin 5. Lavanini 6. Taufua 7. Refell 8 Brink 9. Jvp, 10 ford, 11. Nadolo 12 Scott 13, Moroni 14 Van wyk 15 steward 16 youngs 17 Gigena 18 Heyes 19 Green 20 Liebenberg 21 Youngs 22 Henry 23 Muri I think Steward is already a star so I'd go for Martin...

Re: Tigers vs Quins - 04 Oct 20 15:00

Frustrated as that was very winnable and but for small margins we would have. Not sure if its a positive right now but we may see more of Youngs and Ford next season than was expected. I also fully expect us to finish above at least 2 of Irish, Worcester and Newcastle. We need to remember how to win...

Sorry but this is appalling. Feels very dodgy all round. Sale should have forfeited

What happens if Worcester refuse to play? Would you want to be in that scrum. I wouldn't. Game should be called off. Hope the sale players are OK

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

Reading between the lines other players have tried harder. For me olowofela needs 2 of strength, speed or defence but struggles for one. Hardwick still has potential, but needs to put in the work and can still have a future. In normal times, I would loan out both with Jordan given instruction to bul...

Re: Tigers vs Bristol

I want us to make a proper go of this. Bristol need the win so let's see what we can do. The season is nearly over and as long as there are no niggles and no one plays a consecutive 80, players can double up. I may be shot down in flames but I am not convinced our genuine 2nd team is that much worse...

Re: Tigers vs Castres - 20 Sep 20 at 1500

I dont think this is the game to take gambles or play people out of position. From the last game add back Genge, Reffell and Ford then for me its just 6 and centre to look at. Wells is solid enough but Taufua is the better player and also better impact from the bench, but if he is only 90% then star...

Re: Team vs Saints

A number of positives and on another day we would have gone for the jugular more rather than take penalties and without the yellows could have blown them away. Its starting to come together and please can we give Steward a 10 year contract, so much talent and so young

Re: Next week versus Bath then Irish!

Looks like most people are being sensible and not trying to second guess the team.....I think Steward has to start. After that target Bath but keep a spine for Irish of say Kerr, Green (c) liebenberg or Wallace, White, Henry and Taute. So for Saturday something like Genge, Youngs, Cole, Enever, Lava...

Re: Team for Exeter

Isn't it great to have the option of Reffell or Wallace at 7. Possibly even Taufua. For me selection will come down to how each are showing in training and the game plan. The forwards should be strong, I am a bit more concerned about whoever starts with Scott, fullback and the other winger to join N...

I can't see Moroni and Scott being slow. Just need to make sure key players stay fit and not play them into the ground

Re: England v Wales

In his reasoning for a red the ref said he had never chosen to use his arms. Looked to me that if north hadn't been tackled quite so well then he absolutely would have. No one could have pulled out of that. Still waiting for the Welsh citings, again need consistency. By the letter of the law it's re...
