Re: Championship Clubs Promotion

If the criteria is budget, infrastructure, fan base rather than on the field performance than you are talking about US-style franchising which everyone seems to be against.

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

Worth pointing out that Saints have not beaten us in a league match at Franklin's Gardens since before the pandemic. In fact I think every visit since the pandemic has coincided with their annual fire drill... There is a different sort of pressure on them as table toppers at home to "finally&q...

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

Their flakiness came from lack of defence and poor scrum both of which they appear to have fixed. Yep Not sure why 1 result would make any difference to Mckellar career for most people In the one sense this is a game we would expect to lose given they are top of the league and on a high - and we ha...

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

Saints were a real flakey team in recent seasons. Not so now. We are the ones looking flakey. I have hope but my head says this is going to be difficult. If we do put in a performance and somehow win it, it would be fun obviously but also potentially transformative for our season and for McKellar's ...

Re: Race for the top 4.

Will be a massive bonus if we make the play offs IMO.

This is a certainly a one game at a time scenario.

One good thing is a don't think we have too many distractions/players out.

Not going into the end of season with high expectations but just hoping for the best.

Re: Championship Clubs Promotion

I hold no torch for Ealing but I am surprised at the question given what I've always read.

Is there any real evidence to say that they would turn it down were it on the table?

Is it?

What evidence is there for that?

Re: Ben Youngs (YBY)

His nickname is Lenny and he told Rugby World: “I wish I had a story for it but I’m the youngest of 28 first cousins and we all have the same sort of nickname – Benny became Lenny and it stuck. Everyone calls me that now.”

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

Sadly but realistically it's hard to see anything but an Ireland romp.

England are no mugs and it's sport. Bit of luck here and there, maybe a red card for Ireland (although they are generally very discipled, maybe we'll click.

Other two games much more interesting though tbh.
