Re: Ringfencing NOW upon us ?
Good posts mol2 and CrumblingTerrace Interestingly 8 of the 12 Prem Clubs have been in the Championship and most more than once. And you could argue it either makes you stronger or you simply weren't strong enough. And yes, that is what sport is all about. The argument for ring fencing is all about ...

Re: Ringfencing NOW upon us ?
I think you are delusional if you think the reaction to ring fencing would even cause a ripple on the lake compared to this, the interest in club rugby union is minuscule in comparison to Football and the powers that be know it Not sure if that is a reaction to my post. If so, you missed the point.

Re: PL Ring Fencing
I wonder if the reaction to this football nonsense will have any effect on Premiership plans for ring fencing? I was thinking the same thing. My preference is that the Championship is beefed up to create a meaningful second tier that means it's not the end of the world to get relegated and that pro...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE VI: The Return of the Burns
I still reckon there will be a sizeable turnover of players. At Tigers? Based on what? Well we currently already have 6 leavers from the start of season I expect a further 2 based on signings we have already made coming in and looking at the squad could easily see a further 4 leavers. Which would m...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE VI: The Return of the Burns
There seem to be a few rumours doing the rounds about players at other clubs moving. I wonder if, bar any last minute purchases, if our signings for next season are largely done? I hope so. I've not been able to keep up with merry go round in recent seasons. And you can't or aren't being successful...

Re: Away vs Bath 18th April
I've no problem with the penalties on Heyes and Weise. May seem petty when it's your own players and it costs you the win but equally there is no need for it and it's a slippery slope. If the ref doesn't want regular 20 man pushing and shove matches you penalise it. Equally I saw a mixture at the en...

Re: Away vs Bath 18th April
Game could have gone either way.
The fact that we are on a par with this Bath team at this stage is a good sign.
We move on.
For me play offs were never a real target, top 6 would be fantastic.

Re: PREMIERSHIP ROUND 16
Great match this evening, can't see Saints doing over the top 3 should the make the play offs but they are certainly a good attacking team right now. I would hope we could dominate them in the forwards and stifle them with our defence when we play them. The result means we would go top 6 with any ki...

Re: Away vs Bath 18th April
But we have shown this season when it's not working we just carry on regardless, Sale at home, Bristol & Irish away. Not every team is going to fall at the feet of our almighty driving maul.. How are we are going to get any good at Plan A if we change it every time it's not going so well? The best ...

Re: Away vs Bath 18th April
What definitely would be a step forward would be for a change of tactics during the game if Plan A isn't working, that we are still to see. But Plan B can be to execute Plan A better :smt003 I also think sometimes games take on a bit of a life of their own. I remember someone saying that in comment...
