Re: THE DECIDER - ENGLAND V AUSTRALIA - 16th July 2022
I really hope we clinch the series but it will be close, which in itself makes for a good spectacle. I havent been gripped by the rugby so far like normal, although to be fair one of my daughters was sat next to me with a sick bucket for the second match so my attention was probably more on looking ...

Why not just swap Burns and Hegarty? Burns can do a job at fullback, Not if he was injured. Pinched from the Unoffy: https://www.somersetlive.co.uk/sport/other-sport/freddie-burns-bath-compartment-syndrome-2759140 If still relevant, and no reason why it may not be given others have posted about Bur...

Re: SALE (A) - Sunday 30th January 2022 - 3-00pm
You can't be too critical of the man because of the unfathomable turnaround Tigers have experienced since his arrival but full blame for the capitulation today must lie squarely at Steve Borthwick's door, which perversely is good because I now know that he is human and capable of mistakes like the r...

Re: Wasps (A) - Sunday 9th January 2022 - 3pm
We weren’t terrible, just not good enough to take the officials out of it. Spot on! Tigers weren't bad and considering the back row issues I'll take a narrow loss. With a different official it would have more than likely been a win. Its really frustrating given the impact of poor officiating but al...

Re: Leicester Tigers women's team?
This can only be a good thing for the game and for the club. I can now take my daughters to watch my favorite club and they can watch on, knowing that there is now the possibility of them one day being able to pull on the famous jersey. Unlike in the era when one of our fellow commentators started f...

Re: London Irish Away
Stupid I know but I was so frustrated with game that a basic malfunction on my phone made me snap it in half.
I have never turned a match off 5 minutes before the end either, normally not such a bad loser.

On a purely superficial note, I think the new kit looked really smart on Saturday.

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester - Teams Up
Only one game I know. But it is the first time in two / three years that Tigers have looked fitter than the opposition. Almost any opposition. The players actually seemed to be playing 'for' each other . Again, the first time there has been any semblance of 'team' in the last couple of years. Final...

Re: Freddie Steward
I thought he had a great game and I have been impressed every time I’ve seen him in a Tigers shirt. Unlike some of the other academy graduates I always get a sense of confidence when I see his name on the team sheet. On that note (sorry to digress a little) I notice how some of the other recently ac...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester - Teams Up
Finally some competition for places. Wigglesworth had an outstanding debut and Henry was impressive once again.. best half back pairing during the international break for ages.. Bonilla will fight it out with Henry no doubt and both look class. And that back row.. Liebenberg, Taufua, Wiese, Brink, ...

Re: Borthwick
I don’t care if people perceive Borthwick to have charisma or not, he certainly seems to have the respect of his players and is excellent at communicating his ideas. He is a leader and is willing to try new things - one simple example is his trademark use of a step ladder to evaluate lineout throws....

Re: Predictions 20-21
At this stage you would have to say anything other than relegation represents progress. You really would expect the club to aim for 6th as a minimum. Given how close it can be at the bottom, any lower wouldn’t represent much in the way of green shoots for me. I like what I have seen from a number of...

Re: DoR?
Professional sport is funny in that it causes grown men, women and non-binary folk get all worked up over events that they have no control over and make personal attacks on people they have never met. Murphy’s record as head coach in terms of results was terrible, nobody in the right mind would ques...

I was mightily impressed by Martin, it was a huge shame to see him get injured.Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 7:13 pm Good chance he’ll be picked in the next EPS as an apprentice player! Pity Martin picked up his injury as he may have been a shoe in too.

Re: Team vs Saints
For the first time in years I am seeing positives all around the team, some players are growing in stature every time they take to the field - I hope Steward gets a decent run at fullback for example. It does feel like once the full squad is available and the fixture schedule allows for more consist...
