Tom Woolstencroft (Sarries 3rd choice hooker behind George and Dan) has announced his immediate retirement from the sport.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Would make sense. And I know there are a lot of Manu fans out there but I’m not sure spending money on an injury prone 33 year old who’ll give you 12 games a season if you’re lucky makes any sense, no matter how good he was in his heyday
Very much this, I am just not sure how anyone can see Manu as value for money now. He was not for years for us and he has not been for Sale either. Unless he retires from England, you spend most of the time getting him fit so as he can play a couple of internationals and then come back broken. At his pomp he was something to behold but now I would not sign him on anything more than a squad player salary.
I think his average for Sale is 10 games per season. At Tigers it was more like 12.

Although that must all be nonsense because when Manu signed for Sale Sanderson was very clear that they would keep him fit and he wouldn't miss many games through injury. :smt003
Pretty sure it was Diamond who signed him

Apologies, you're right. He promised that Sale would keep him fit and get 50% more rugby out of him.

Josh Kemeny, not I name I know, has signed for Northampton from Melbourne rebels.

Twice capped 25 year flanker looks like a direct replacement for Ludlam

Seems Bath have signed Jacques du Plessis as he’s undergoing rehab with them.

If he recovers before the end of the season he'll go back and play in South Africa though. Slightly odd one.

They've also got a young Junior Bok scrum half over ahead of next season as well.

Yeah short term deal to the end of the season. Injury seems to have really knocked back his career since he announced he was making the switch in codes.

Shame as he has the potential. Hope it works for him

According to Fissler:

Hastings to Glasgow
McGuigan to be released at the end of his contract
Andre Esterhuizen to the Sharks with Quins wanting a £500k transfer fee
Alex Hearle to Newcastle
Magnus Bradbury to Edinburgh

At Gloucester?

Bring Singleton back from his loan in France, promote Seb Blake and retain Socino. Still be harsh on McGuigan unless he's got a deal ready in France.

That's the one. I have a mate who is a Gloucester fan who said exactly the same

Freeing up some salary cap for next season aren't they. Hastings is allegedly on a hefty whack and they've already effectively replaced him with Charlie Atkinson at a fraction of the price. LRZ is gone.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear Glaws linked with some significant names up front to give them a more powerful pack.
