Re: Which players are leaving?
I'm sure I've read this somewhere, but I can't seem to see any thread on here or News article on the Tigers website with the definitive list of who is leaving now the season has finished. I know about Wiese and Van Wyk, but who else won't be pulling on the Tigers jersey next season? Thanks https://...

Adediran (Flanker)
Dickens (Scrum Half)
Mellowes (Loosehead)
Maka (Tighthead)
Threlfall (Fly Half)
Were the key ones being discussed on the Academy thread if I recall RB?
Like you say if it's Maka or Dickens there may be noticeable body type with them..

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
I wonder if we are likely to have popcorn day soon???? Not sure... Yes there are signings ready to announce (such as the heavily reported attack coach) Question is how the club want to fill the gap. There is very little that will get fan engagement till they start having pictures of preseason. The ...

Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter
Last season we finished 4 wins behind 1st place. This season we finished 3 wins behind 1st place. Ok it's been a bad season, but the league has bunched up and small differences, Sale who yesterday morning were a long shot to be in the top 4 have the joint most wins of any team in the league. We had ...

Challenge Cup Final: Gloucester v Sharks
So next Friday our European season gets determined Gloucester win and we're in the Challenge Cup, which Borthwick showed can be used as a good run building confidence in a squad and their capabilities. Sharks win and we're in the Champions Cup, the premier European competition, where the money is, b...

Time to just back DMK: he had no real preseason with so many players at the World Cup: attack coach then has to go on compassionate leave: injures meant he then had Henderson, Martin, Chessum all missing at crucial times! Looking at the performances I’ve gone to at home and away games since Christm...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
Without trying to sound rude, do you know this for sure? My friend is very well informed and was pretty adamant about this ‘back loading’ I’m not sure how you could average the cap, surely it’s the amount paid in wages in that season, with clubs choosing to have an advantage one season, disadvantag...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
First announcement could be of who has been promoted from the Senior Academy to the full men's squad, of course there could still be a release of two to be announced, then we will.have a better idea of where the gaps are. I agree that apparently we now have only Pollard as a specialist 10 that is a...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
Pretty sure the cap is spread out as an average so clubs can’t front or back load them. Granted they can sign new deals but won’t be contractually obligated to sign or be offered a increased rate Without trying to sound rude, do you know this for sure? My friend is very well informed and was pretty...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
If we are at the cap level, some of our squad are earning too much. We are definitely not finished announcing players. What the club have said is they are spending the cap, they did not however say that all the signings have been announced. 100% coming a new centre 85% new fly half Possibly a new l...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
Others have said it before on here - I think Handré would benefit greatly from another distributor in the backline. Kelly is the closest we have to that, but he's by no means a playmaker. Kata, Perese and Moroni wouldn't offer that either. Moroni is unlikely unless we lose someone to make cap space...
